Carpenter sucks... why did we get rid of boiman/shanle?

a team with the holes we had, to draft a player at 18 in the first round, and him not even be active for the game, is a little discouraging.... Id rather have a player at 18, who is starting for my team week 1, or pushing for the starting job!

I still do the procedure. For board members, it's a 50% discount. If you dig the hole, it's free.

I have said this once and I will say this again, man I wish we could have taken some Olineman. If Dallas thought the 18th pick was too high, then I would have been happy with a trade down just so we didn't reach for an Olineman. Lutui, Justice, or Colledge in the bottom of round 1 followed by Andrew Whitworth in round 2. They would not have started but could have had some much needed time on the bench. Next year they would have been able to compete for starting jobs. Rivera looks like he is done and Colombo is a serious project despite his age.

If BP spends next years 1st round draft pick on defense without it being a can't miss prospect, I will be steamed. He needs to rebuild the Oline now so that Romo won't get killed when he takes over.

Unrealistic and impatient - but I guess that's the norm for many fans.

Sitting out in favor of a more experienced guy just isn't the end of the world.

If he sits out all year, or sits out next year, then I'll be ranting with you.

But this is one game, and one game does not make a season, much less a career.

As to why they kept Carpenter over the other guys - the word "upside" comes to mind.

I agree and it's totally ridiculous to be having this discussion at this point! What a waste of board space. This is my opinion!

while many rookies were inactive...how many 1st rd picks where inactive? only carpenter..bad pick i think, but more for the reason of who was already in dallas..dallas didnt need a LB, especially one most teams had labeled to play middle LB..

Can you name me all the linebackers we had before the draft began?

I honestly still think bobby will start at lolb next year, but I am a bit surprised he was inactive the first game because we had been hearing the whole time how he should have a relatively quick transition. although I definitely understand why he was though, we don't want to lose him for the year like the Vikes lost greenway by being stupid.

Seriously both are much better than this wasted 1st round pick...I knew we should have got an olineman in the 1st round. Carpenter not even dressing for the first game....please try and defend this clown! Not even good enough to play ahead of an undrafted free agent or washed up vertearn either??? What a waste!

Kudos to our scouting department on yet another great day one draft pick!:laugh1: :lmao:

Dude...your sig.......................the 2006 Super Bowl has already been played.

It really takes 3 years on the true value of a player and when he was picked.......but that doesnt mean we cant be disappointed that Carp was made inactive....and might see very little playing time all year.

I know im disappointed and I bet Jerry is also considering the money he paid him.

But we shall see.....I'm still hoping for a pro-bowler type player.....

can u name all the LB's that are starting now? if u can, then thats who dallas had..along with all its backups, except for hoyte

u can sugarcoat it all u want..the fact is theres a rookie freeagent who is active over carpenter..that says enough

Please someone make a list of all these clowns who are saying Carpenter is a bust so we can point and laugh at them later in the year.

Please.

what i find hypocritical is people are saying this about carp, and saying everything is fine..but most of these are the same people who want to get rid of bledsoe after one game..u cant have it both ways:rolleyes:

I want the correct answer. List the linebackers one by one. Because the answer you are giving is wrong
