yeah you guys can have Brady, Manning and anyone else starting today...gimmee Carson Palmer

best pure passer in football today, by a long shot

he's the only player I wanted in 2003 over T-New

its too bad he has to play on that thug infested team...

And he just has that presence that makes everyone around him better. When he speaks on camera it's reminiscent of someone who's voice you'll hear one more time when his playing career is over. On the podium for his HOF induction acceptance speech.

speaking of that draft and Tnew, I heard there was some debate in Cincy whether to take Newman #1 overall, it's wierd

yeah that was widely reported...Marvin Lewis loved him

we made out good considering where we got T-New...he'll be a probowler for the next 4-6yrs or so...but Palmer is that once or twice a decade type QB...his passing skills and mechanics are eerily similar to a certain #8 who used to wing it around here

There were alot of people that thought TNew was the best player going into that draft as I recall.

And probably his demeanor on the field and off the field. Man I am so jealous of Bengals now, I thought I would never think that. I wish he didn't remind me of No. 8 so much.

well one thing we can take comfort in, we didn't have the chance to pass on him, so that's good, no regrets

Congrats to Palmer. I would hate to see anyone's career ended due to injury, especially a young, talented guy like Palmer.

God he is so good.

Every year there are overhyped guys, and most of them fail to perform.

A few of them are serviceable or even good.

But this guy is great.

I really hope injuries don't derail what will be undoubtedly a great career.

He's also my dynasty FF QB for years to come, hehe.

The Bengals though will make a SB with him and CJ, so long as they continue to shore up that D.
