Exactly. Maybe he isn’t very good. I was never impressed. Way too mechanical. That said if anyone can fix him it would be Frank Reich. I think he is an excellent QB guy. Wentz is never going to be a top QB.
Reich will give him the tools he needs, agree...but I am not holding my breath. The guy misses wide open guys all the time, too much. He reminds me of the Rams QB in the late 80's early 90's Jim Everett. He was a solid QB then after a few bad hits over and over it got into his head and his mechanics, reads etc went ba bye. He never mentally recovered. He was unfixable..and they did try. I feel this is where Carson Wentz is. If anyone can fix him,its Reich.I just dont trust Wince.

What's he doing still talking about Philly?

Can't believe he did this interview and can't believe the Colts allowed it.

What another terrible decision by Wince.

Can't teach Heart or innate aloofness

Wentz is a pathetic leader.

Bible Study and camouflage Jacket leadership style is whack....

I didnt make the thread. Are you crying on the interwebz? Lol
No ---just don't understand some CZ members obsession with him either way -pro or con. Yeah, he was 1st round pick by an NFC rival; but now he's in the AFC (and the Cowboys won't play the Colts until the 2022 season). The Wentz-Prescott debate is overblown.

From the perspective of a Cowboys fan, Wentz going to Indy is good. Eagles have one less option at QB, so more likely to fail.

While Wentz has been poor and injury prone lately, he has shown that he can play at an elite QB level i.e. before his injury in SB season. In theory, he could play like this again - so if he does, it wont be in our division.

Don’t get the hate he’s getting for doing the interview. He didn’t sling mud against Philly, and he talked up Indy. Granted— he’s not the most dynamic personality, but I thought he handled the questions honestly and with respect for all parties.

Personally, I always root for comeback/underdog stories. I hope he finds success in Indy

Hes a great dude..I would have a beer with him. But he is no NFL starter at QB. He's not good..he's mediocre. With him its a mental thing and until he shows that is a thing of the past, I dont trust him.

I agree with most of that, and I don't trust him either. I don't know whether or not he's going to be a starting QB in the future, but the Colts apparently do. His salary is fully guaranteed this year and so is $15 mil next year. They've literally gambled their 2021 and 2022 seasons on him.

Nick Foles took over his job and won a Super Bowl with his team, that’s what happened.

Wentz hasn’t been the same since then, so maybe washing the Philly stink off is best.

What’s been the constant obsession with Wentz around here, I thought Philthy fans were allegedly the ones obsessed with us, it seems quite the opposite.

I get he was in the NFCE but I don’t ever recall seeing a single thread about Jones, why not him too?

He sucks, he’s a bitter diva loser, end of story. I thought there was a 90% chance I would never see a Wentz thread again after he was traded, I was way off.

I’m genuinely curious, to each their own but help me out with your fascination of Wentz, I want to know why.

I could not care less what happens to Wentz. I can answer your curiosity with what I think the answer is. The Cowboys were originally interested in Wentz. Then the Eagles traded up in the draft to take him before the Cowboys could. The Cowboys ended up with Prescott (Thank God). Because one QB was who the Cowboys wanted and the other was who the Cowboys got, there will always be comparisons between these two QB's for the rest of their careers....So threads about him will be created by both Dak haters and Dak lovers to each prove their points.

Yeah, I’ve heard that before and that’s all I ever heard but it’s likes still crying about the guy isn’t even in our division anymore.

Jerry originally wanted Paxton Lynch, picked him as a consolation prize and just happened to get lucky. There were never this many threads about Lynch even when he was playing. It just seems very odd to me but as I said, to each their own.

In all seriousness, I know it’s a rather silly and random question so thanks for taking the time to answer me.

A lot of fans here wanted Wentz over Prescott. Fewer wanted Lynch. And Lynch never did much. Wentz at least had a good season before getting injured before....and the media did a lot of comparisons between Wentz and Prescott, so that's where the focus went. I don't know, I think it's silly too, but so is a lot of the arguments between Dak lovers and Dak haters. That being said, if Wentz does good with the Colts (and especially if the Cowboys struggle), we'll see more Wentz threads comparing Wentz's success to "Dak's struggles". If he sucks with them, we'll see a few threads from the Dak Lovers taunting the Dak haters/Wentz lovers. That's just how people here seem to be.

We got the better QB. Let's hope the Cowboys kick some butt!
