Carter/Schlereth bashing the Pats on ESPN

Schlereth............this guy pee'd his pant on the field, (self-admitted) in the huddle and he holds someone to a standard? 10 Bucks he hangs on every word out of Al Gores mouth.

Am I in a mood tonight?

I think Goodell's conduct has tarnished the league's image more than anything in its history, including the Patriots actually cheating.

Going by his "rules" he deserves a lifetime ban...

The cover-up is always worse than the actual crime. Goodell is going out of his way to try and bury this and his actions look worse and worse. The Pats should have forfeited the Jets game last year and Belichek should have suspended for at least a year. It was an ongoing, systematic operation to knowingly cheat and they got caught.

I dont think it damages the NFL. Many people feel the Pats paid the ultimate price in being upset in SB.

With that said... previous SB loser AND EVEN teams the Pats played in the playoffs were probably cheated out of advancement and SB wins.

I hated what the Giants pulled off this year, but thank God they beat the Pats.

That was Fate's big "*** you" to Belicheat's Crew. :D

I agree...Goodell's idea of enforcement is very inconsistent. He'll come down hard as a hammer on players and position coaches for individual infractions but put the velvet gloves on if the league's image is in question.

Dude should run for office.

I agree.

I can't believe ANYONE thinks this shouldn't be investigated. I agree with an earlier poster. The Pats were punished for a single game of film and admitted they had done it a few times before. Now it is obvious that it was not just a couple of games that they filmed.

There is ZERO chance that this did not help them win games. Think about the difference between stopping a drive and a touchdown being scored. It can be inches that change the outcome of a game. So knowing the defensive plays in these situations wouldn't help maybe 1-2 plays a game that keep drives alive? I agree with the *

I can't either. Pats fans and some employees of the NFL maybe, but that's about it.

I don't know what was funnier--Woodson & Eisen's propaganda show on Total Access where they looked at the tapes and concluded that the cheating did not help the Pats win any games, or T.O.'s comment in the next segment that listening to them pumped him up for his next big acting job.

Classic. Funniest thing I've ever heard him say, and I don't think it was prepared.
