Carter/Schlereth bashing the Pats on ESPN

Same here... been saying the same thing since day one. All the analysts that said "its nothing" or "they all do it"... now they are singing a different tune.

Fact is... good teams or not... Bill and the Pats were not successful until they started cheating.

Cheating = 3 SB wins by 3pts
No Cheating = 1 SB loss by 4 pts

It is interesting how the time period during which the Pats cheated coincides with the era of the Patriot "dynasty."

Schlereth thinks that NE used footage in the games during which it was recorded.

Carter: If these tapes are no different and there's no damning information, why did they destroy the first set?

Hmm I wonder what happened to the offensive genius that is Weiss?

I can remember some wanted him here, me included. Now what's clear he had the benefit of spygate at his disposal. It is pretty easy to call a play when you know what the defense is doing.

Who is to say that the Ram's walkthrough wasn't a part of the original tapes that were destroyed. I know the commish said one thing but how can you prove or disprove it?

This whole stinks to the heavens!!!!!!

Sheriff Goodell has become Patrolman Goodell.

"Nothing to see here folks. Move along."

Well perhaps Arlen Spector can put some heat on. This is pure BS, I hope the owners get rid of Goddell

Forget about Philly and their fans and how they suck and how we never want to see them get anything.

Then... think of this...

You are a Philly player, a philly fan... or even Arlen Spector and you were cheated out of a SB win because they picked off McNabb 3x times... could their tapes have led to may just one INT? in a game that was decided by 3 pts?

Why would the owners get rid of Goodell?

The owners want this issue buried every bit as much as Goodell does.

Goodell is basically saying that according to Walsh, the Pats have done nothing else wrong that we didn't already know.
Using that logic then, it doesn't matter how many times you commit a crime, as long as you keep committing the same crime.

And yet, in the real world, that logic doesn't apply to any crime, from murder on down to speeding tickets.

It's seems funny that all of sudden the Pats didn't have an answer for the Giants pass rush in the Super Bowl. Brady has been so good because he always seems to have the right calls against the blitz and never gets hit. They made the blitz pick-up look so easy all these years and now we know why. They cheated and got caught. Period. Their rings are definitely tarnished.

I don't type fast enough to recap, but it looks like Spygate is now a dead issue.

Having seen the tapes and heard more of the facts, I think NE got off WAY frickin' easy.

We have one final hope. He meets senator Specter tomorrow.

So if I kill somebody and get off easy... say, 10 years in jail... then they find out later that I also killed 5 others and haven't been on trial for those murders yet, I won't be punished further. Good to know!

I hate Goodell.

I will say this again: Spectre has to step in. Without oversight it is obvious that the NFL is not able to regulate itself.

The Pats were punished for taping a single game. There is ample evidence now of the Pats not only taping other teams signals in other games but also it shows a pattern. Belichek and the Patriots organization are also blatant liars at this point.

If its right and correct to extend Pacman and Thurman's suspensions then it follows that the same happens in this case. The collusion and hyocrisy is disgusting and Goodell quite frankly needs to step down.

I'd like to be able to keep an eye on Walsh's bank account for the next few months. I can't help but wonder if the Cheats paid him off to soften his story now.

Unfortunately, I think you guys are right that no further penalties will be imposed. It really is a shame. I doubt they would have won more than one of their SB's if they hadn't cheated.

I'm also willing to bet that they were guilty of messing with the communication equipment of their opponents, but it just can't be proved.

I hate the Cheats. Bellicheat should have been suspended for at least a year in addition to his fine. If it had been Wade Wilson, he would have!
