I think any team in their right mind should fear Cleveland. They have the one guy in the NBA who could conceivably win a series almost single-handedly. If they can figure out their defense, and Irving takes that next step into an elite PG, the East needs to look out. However, I think that there are at least four teams in the West (if healthy) who could beat the Cavs in a 7 game series. OKC, Dallas, SA for sure -- and maybe the Clippers.

No team in the West should care about anyone in the East IMHO.

It is tough sledding every night in the West and getting through that is like getting through the SEC West.

If Spurs fans assume they are making the Finals they are setting themselves up for some severe disappointment.
There is a heck of a lot of work to do to make the West Finals.
So many REALLY good teams.

GSW, Portland, HOU last couple nights reminded everyone how tough the West is.

Houston is looking good but I don't trust a team led by Howard and Harden. I think this is Golden State's year. I'm calling Golden State over Washington in the NBA Finals.

Ball distribution is the problem with the Caves (Offensively) IMO. Irving is not making the assists. He's scoring and that's good but there is a lot of Offensive talent on that team. If they start sharing the ball a bit more, that Offense is going to be devastating. Irving's assists are down a full 2 assists a game from his career average and to be honest, his assist totals were not all that great to being with. Was always thought that this was due to the talent around him and the idea that he had to score to win. Irving is going to have to understand that he no longer has to be that guy. He's much more valuable as the catalyst of the Offense.

I don't think you have to be overly worried about this yet but if this doesn't correct itself, then that's going to be a problem.

Too early to go crazy over any of it but HOU looks good.
Losing Lin and gaining Ariza has been huge for proper basketball.
Now they can actually defend AND score.

GSW has been hot but offense is usually ahead the first month. Let's see what December brings.
They are a good group but the league will adjust to what Kerr is doing to some extent.

I'm glad to see some of my favorite young stars finally emerging into superstars. Always thought it was a matter of time before 1) John Wall became the best PG in the game, 2) Demarcus Cousins became the best center in the game, and 3) Anthony Davis became the best PF and overall player in the game. Seems like things will be happening sooner than later.

Again, it's early but those guys all look inevitably poised to ascend at some point.
Talent is talent.

Boogie Cousins was always a favorite Mav trade discussion target until they got Tyson back.

Davis was clearly a generational defender and he is or will be 1st team ALL NBA many times if he stays healthy.
Wall and Cousins are really good but only Davis is a future NBA MVP imho.
