CB Caleb Farley to have minor back surgery

Lawrence
Fields
Wilson
Lance
Sewell
Chase
Pitts
Waddle
Surtain

That’s looking like a worst case scenario (that’s not really that bad) top 9 where we have to go BPA and take Slater. Or cross our fingers that someone calls to trade up for 1 of Slater, Mac Jones, or Devonta Smith.
I understand Slater and Jones being there, but just curious why you have Smith slipping past Chase and Waddle?

Wasn’t really trying to make a definitive statement, just painting a scenario where only 2 WR’s + Pitts get drafted ahead of us.

Could be wrong, but I do think Smith could fall into the teens because he is all of 180 pounds soaking wet. Or he could go #3 to the Dolphins...who knows

Thats my worst case scenario as well, but what if Chase and Smith both slipped, that my all time worst case scenario.. seen crazier things happen.

I guess I shouldn't have used the word minor in the title.

It'll be one of my real regrets in life.

If I were him and I’m really out this summer, then I’d try to go back to school. Prove I’m healthy and have a monster season. Get insurance because being a first round pick is guaranteed 8 figures. He’s not getting close to that in G money now

None of these corners are worthy of a top 10 pick. I want Kyle Pitts to be there at 10.

He won't slide lower than 44 (chuckle). I can think of someone who would hope for that situation.......

He is like 170 pounds. I heard he is starting to drop down boards but I had Waddle and Chase ranked above him before I heard the conversation

It will be interesting to see what Philly does if Pitts and Chase are both gone,, they hated seeing Dallas take lamb last year, they will not let one of the top receivers escape their reach this draft.

I doubt the Eagles take Pitts.

Never saw the hype in this kid to be consider taking over Surtain to begin with.

This kid is hiding way too much (not playing last season and now pre-draft showcases) and me personally thinks he doesn't want to get a expose of not being worth a first round pick.

Same procedure Tigers had which has killed his golf career. If a golfer can’t deal with it how can a football player?

Tiger also had a fusion of vertebrae among other things. A microdiscectomy is simply a minimally invasive procedure to remove part of a herniated disc. He will be out of action for a few weeks at most. The operation usually relieves the pressure on nerves causing chronic pain or spasms. The surgery itself is nothing to worry about. However, the injury that required the surgery is going to send up some red flags around the league. My guess is he had the surgery now because someone took an x-ray and saw the herniated disc. Putting off the surgery would probably hurt him more than getting it over with now. If he put it off until after the draft he would probably miss offseason practices.

But this is not cut and dried. He may never have another problem again and play 12 years in the league.

Update: I saw the tweet claiming he is out for 4 months. That is a long time for a minor surgery. This sounds like more than they care claiming.

It’s also his second back surgery. He had one after 2019
