NAY

Senior Marcus Peters (6-0, 198) of Washington is regarded as one of the most talented cornerbacks but also an enormous character risk. He has had several physical altercations with assistant coaches and was kicked off the team Nov. 5.

"He tried to strangle a coach on the sidelines," one scout said. "Then they let him back on the team and he did it all over again. Try selling that to your head coach."

but is he coach-able

As long as he hasn't thrown his sweaty practice jersey at the head coach,I say draft him.

Honestly if hes there at 15 we should trade up to get him. They said a lot about Dez when he was coming out. Our team chemistry defensively will iron him out. Think about our LBs we just need to invest in dbs and dl.

I love peters upside....

I just hope we take a late 1st round chance like we did dez when he was falling for character concerns...

I like him. He's fluid in coverage, a great physical tackler, instinctual, and has good ball skills. He has an edge, there's no question about that. However, I think there is little doubt that he's passionate about football and hasn't had off the field conduct issues. I think it has been established that we're not necessarily looking for boy scouts but players that are committed and intelligent.

In the past I would have said no because the team didn't appear to unified and buying in. However now the team seems more resilient and proud of their work on the field. If we retain some of the committed/successful leadership figures on defense (Scandrick, Ro. McClain, Church) an environment of dissension will be discouraged. It doesn't take long for rookie DBs to be humbled in the NFL. He's the best cornerback in the draft and would represent tremendous value if he falls to the back of the first round. He wouldn't be a lock for success but surefire blue chip players at high-value positions are virtually non-existent.

LOL. Best avatar EVER.

Apparently he likes to strange assistant coaches. As much as I dislike Henderson, I do not think we need that.

Now if he will be turned loose in the owner's box with Jerry, Stephen and Spaulding all present, he suddenly becomes a very intriguing prospect.

I think we can trust the FO on this one, he is truly a talent and I have no doubt they will have done their due diligence on him. I am sure Pacman still smarts Jerry if you were to bring him up. If we pick him then they see a handle they can use and I would not worry. I feel like this is a lesson the Jones have finally learned in their 20 odd years of football education.
