RELEASED CB Patmon Released

He avoided a couple of lacy tackles. Watch it, he ran away and he missed an assignment according tona sterm or broaddus article.

If that's the case half the defense should be waived.
My goodness have you seen how many tackles Claiborne has whiff on this year. Hilarious but hey, we have to send a message.
Patmon is probably relieved finally can get rid of the sound of clapping rigging in his ears.

No, Patmon was Sterling Moore part 2. And we know rarely sequels are better than the first. And Moore was ok, but replaceable. Pat,on shown signs to be that guy, but has been disappointing this year.

I am tired of them hanging onto these pet cat type players. Makes a good play or 2, and everyone thinks they are better than the starters.

Well, sometimes they aren't that far apart...lol...

Patmon: 13 games, 11 tackles, 6PD
Sterling Moore: 13 games, 38 tackles, 3FF, 2INT, 6PD

different teams/games/etc but...

Well Tyler you were the only cornerback that was in position to make a interception this season. This is not allowed on this team. He must be at least 3 yards away from the receiver, then you gently escort them out of bounds or you push them lightly to the ground.

So White and Patmon released. Scandrick out. Claiborne gimpy.

I guess Byron Jones is a corner the rest of the way and the practice squad dude is up.

I love how a couple of folks on here are taking this topic to, once again, bash Dez. Trying to compare the two is absolutely ridiculous. Dez has, regardless of how he's played lately, been an absolute STUD in this league. Patmon has not. This is something Jimmy probably would've done as well - star players get preferential treatment. GET OVER IT ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If we didn't have Jones, I'd probably opt for Hargreaves out of UF right now as looks to be a beast. Carr will stick around another year as his cap hit is too big to absorb this year.

Keep Jones at Safety and draft Hargreaves, sounds like a plan

Who cares if he was a UDFA. In case you forgot, Romo was a UDFA.

We was better playing the ball in his rookie year than this year. You should look up what regressed mean.

I did.. He wasn't that good, got exposed, and got released

Panthers are considering roster moves at cb. Hmmm....this might just work out for him.

Sterling Moore 2014 - 46 total tackles, 12 pass deflections, 1 FF

Looking at those statistics, you'd think Moore had a decent year. That's why raw statistics suck for CBs, he was average to bad last year. I'm guessing it's the same in Tampa Bay as well.

EDIT: He also only has one INT this year, and I just saw the video of his INT, he was beat on a slant and the receiver dropped the ball and it landed in his hands. Yeah, he still sucks.

Do we really want to use another top 10 pick on a corner? I don't trust Marinelli to pick anyone of the defensive side of the ball with the high of a pick.

He was awful. A couple weeks ago, he was confused on defense and asking McClain what he needed to be doing. Cost us a timeout.

Another time, while chasing Julio Jones to the endzone, he was throwing up his hands and looking for someone to blame. He was a *******, good riddance.

That's what DBs in Dallas do!

when is the coaching plan going to be worked om?

This 'roster churning' is pathetic. Let's cut people at a player depleted position. Let's cut players on the only side of the ball that is looking reasonably nfl ready.
