LOL, he isnt even the best RB named Jones in the NFL. He had more then his fair share of chances in Dallas to prove he was one of the best RBs in the NFL. He should go take a good look in the mirror and realize he has no one to blame but himself, everyone in Dallas wanted him to be successful.

I always liked Jones but this is a little ridiculous. Is it the Cowboys fault that Barber was just the better back?

I agree, if he wanted to prove something he had all last year to do it. All he proved last year was that Barber deserved to start!

You mean other then running into the back of his Olinemen instead of hitting the hole. Julius has no vision and for a guy who is suppose to be a big play threat he never made half as many big runs as MBIII.

Which year was this ?

Julius Jones scored 3 TDs in that wonderfully entertaining last minute win vs. the Seahawks on Dec. 7, 2004. I betcha the Seahawks think they signed that guy.

But that guy hadn't been seen in quite some time.

I think Jones may fit well in the Seahawks WCO where they will run a lot of draw plays within their running game.

Last year for one. MBII had more runs of 20 plus yards, more TDs and quite frankly was just the better player.

If I had a nickel for every time I've heard a player say they were going to show their old team... or everytime a passed over draftee said they would show the teams that passed on them.

Is he implying he didn't run as hard as he could or play as tough as he could prior to this season? That he will actually let it all hang out this year because he's mad at Dallas?

All he can do is all he can do. He tried that last year and he'll do it again this year. It wasn't much then and it won't be much now.

Dallas isn't scared of Julius Jones. They've seen the worst he can do.

Oh when his carriers got stripped from him. Of course MB3 has more TD's he used in the goal line and short yardage more. As for 20 plus yards run IDK but it was clear that Jones wasn't comfortable or didn't feel wanted/needed and dallas it could be several reason why he didn't produce like he did the year before. MB3 had more attempts that JJ also.....

True but then Barber made the most of his carries to earn the right to get in the games more often. You reward players with playing time based on how they are performing. In my opinion Barber won the right to see the action he was getting.

I always thought the cowboys did JJ wrong. I never understood what JJ did wrong for his carries to go down and MB3 to go up.

Yawn. This clown talked tough after Bill retired too.

Whatever happened to that big year he promised last season without Bill restraining his running ability?

All talk, no walk. I can't wait for our guys to stomp him out on Thanksgiving.

I guess all hes ever been able to run is his mouth :lmao: Bradie James and co. might now have to make a tackle as much as he trips ove rhis own two feet!

I seem to remember everybody and their brother asking why the Cowboys were giving Jones so many carries when clearly MBIII was the better runner. If anything he was treated too well by the Cowboys.

He has that right. You don't get a chance to sign free agents like Julius Jones very often, either. I'm not saying he's the second coming of Emmitt Smith, but Jones is an upgrade over Alexander. He's younger. He's faster. He can catch the ball out of the backfield. And, get this, he's willing to block.
Julius Jones is a willing blocker; he just doesn't do it very well. Julius can take his 3.6 YPC and his 23 receptions, and we'll keep Barber's 4.8 YPC and 44 receptions.

Seattle is like the robot capital of the world. I wouldn't be surprised if before our game, he says "Excuse me, I have to go. Somewhere there is a crime happening." and then bolts out the end of the stadium.

Here is the reason Barber's carries went up and Jones' carries went down:

Name Carries Yards YPC Rec
Marion Barber 204 975 4.8 44
Julius Jones 164 588 3.6 23

Alexander

What's it going to be then, eh?

Sounds like this writer hasn't seen Julius play in a long time.

If Jones were that back the Seahawks have faced or that he obviously thinks he is, you would think they would hand him the starting job outright and not mandating he split time with Maurice Morris.

Shockingly, they aren't.

They are still in the honeymoon stage with him. Eventually the high maintenance underachiever Julius Jones will show himself.

That turned into " They didn't give me a chance." last year.

So here's how Thanksgiving will turn out JJ for 3, 2, 9, 2, -1, 3, 2, 2, 1 and in comes Morris. Julius is very dependable after the 5th carry. All the rest are under 3 yards.

I can understand him wanting to start fresh, but as far as not having a chance? He was the starter for the entire year, undeservingly.
