I agree he’ll be back week one. But DW’s game is built on explosiveness and a nagging calf can take that all away.

I think Kearse will need to make a bigger contribution early in the season while DW fully heals. As we’ve discussed in this thread, calf injuries linger. Dak was awful after his calf injury.
Literally, statistically it's Prescott's best seasons. 37 touchdowns 10 interceptions high completion percentage, they won 12 games

apparently, it didn't bother him that much, but I only missed a game do you not see the difference curse is going to have five weeks of not having to put any pressure on it that's five times the amount of time Prescott had that means it should be 110%, no lingering... I'm sorry that I'm using common sense it doesn't seem to be landing yet..LOL

Lol back in ancient times for many of these injuries we got a week-10 days tops and taped up like a mummy.

Of course that's likely why I have a knee that dislocates every time I bend it under me and occasional migraines from the 3 or 4 concussions. Whoohoo!!

Omg….insufferable conversation. Cowboys went 5-5 after Dak’s injury in 2021. You’re too condescending to take seriously.

I think not playing PS...and just jumping into the season is a good way to get injured too.

Granted...injury can happen any time any where. And pro athletes should be at the top of their game always, right?

But..."game speed". Not saying they have to play every down.
I think no playing in the PS and just jumping into the season the smartest and wisest thing to do. Peyton and the Colts, Brady and Pats and so on hardly played in the preseason. I don't give a **** about the PS.

And there is no correlation of not playing in the PS = getting hurt. That is ridiculous and baseless.

I'd expect him to be limited well into the season. We always understate injuries, often rushing guys back.

Also, in ancient times players were compensated FAR less!

OK so they went five and five?? went 6-4 after dak came back, a blown lead from the defense against raiders for 3 point lossat 36-33 , dont think Abrown had calf strain more lie a Brain strain LOL and 3 point loss to the cards thrown in there. Again 37 tds 10 ints, doubt the calf was an issue.

lets see i count 5-1 , 4-1 in December , 1-0 last game of the season=5-1 to close the season. Terrible, i tell you. o_O

lost to 9ers in the playoff game by a score...with the team having 14 pnelaties..11 on the OL..

because of his calf huh ??????????????? you're right, NOT.....

you know who's insufferable, you're blaming his calf for n the TEAM Not playing as well down the stretch and we actually saw those games some was defense, and few were penalties and STs like other years things go wrong as team some close losses effect the record. etc ..

And thats ok. Even if he’s dressed for game 1 , we have the luxury of easing him back into the rotation as directed by the staff

my only concern with any injury is if it becomes chronic and hampers the players explosiveness

time will tell

I wouldnt play a soul in the preseason more than 2 series unless theyre fighting for a roster spot
This what they basically practice anyway and why I don't even bother watching preseason anymore.

First of all not one person in here is a doctor, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night!

Not good. Don’t expect him to be much of a factor the first half of the season. Thank goodness we have Kearse.
Kearse rose to prominence with us after another Wilson injury a few seasons back. It's been Wilson's knock.

6-4 in the regular season, but who's counting.

Either way, it's pretty impossible to point to the injury as a catalyst for the record as a whole. He was sloppy against Denver when he got back, but he killed ATL the next week.

Wilson and Mukwamu will be fine in a month. They'll work them back slowly into the lineup. Maybe the coaches limit Donovans snaps Week 1 to be safe.

Schoonmaker's injury is more concerning at this point.

First of all not one person in here is a doctor second of all it says multiple week it is not more than a five week heel time for most of these I mean how many weeks did Prescott miss with his strained calf I don't think it was very long.. These are precautionary things it'll be week to week but I guarantee he's 100% ready and it will not linger into the season because none of these have unless it's a tear and he needs surgery then they would have already said that.. Why do people overreact to injuries when someone says it's week to week and then they say oh there goes nine games of the season like they have some kind of clue to what severity it actually is. As long as it's not season ending and if it's deemed week to week he will be here game one..
Some of us may not be doctors but we have seen similar injuries and know how long they can linger. In my case I have pulled a calf muscle and came back too soon and pulled it again. I also tore a hamstring and was out 6 weeks and on top of that it becomes a stretching regime while it's healing. We don't know the severity of the injuries but we have also seen this team withhold info and not really tell the public exactly what's going on. That being said these guys have plenty of time to heal.
