Nothing like cutting a 5th CB to inspire fear and panic around here.

Well, they better get on it fast, that paper thin depth is frightening! We better get a vet in here, pronto!

Meanwhile, our backup QB situation is Kellen Moore and Dak Prescott.

Meh, things will work out.

It's news. We're all in sponge mode right now admittedly or not.

It is odd to cut him now, I bet it has something to do with something he said , or his attitude was not rkg.
he could have said something about scheme or coaching that was negative, and it gets back to coaches,
so he is cut.
He may need to google "brown nose" lol

Rumor has it that Terrance Mitchell was upset about the Cowboys giving away his number 21 jersey to a rookie (Ezekiel Elliott) without consulting him first. He said he would have "gladly handed it over" but felt disrespected about the whole situation. He had a falling out with management and they decided to cut him.

I just made that up.

LOL...the thing is, it will take off like wild fire, and the next thing we will have, are more Jerry hate threads.
Thanks a lot.

The draft pick Brown has looked good and undrafted rookie McKinnon has apparently been a surprise. That still doesn't explain why you cut Mitchell at this point.

I hadn't read anything at all about McKinnon and he isn't listed in Brugler's draft guide. You barely find anything online, but check out this 3 minute highlight reel -

That's small school ball and only the highlights, but from that clip he definitely has the physical skills. I think Olatoye will be the surprise CB this year, but McKinnon sounds like the perfect practice squad candidate.

Don't give the local media any thoughts.

If a guy can't even make it to camp, then there's nothing to wring your hands over.

Mitchell is a CB without speed - unless his diagnosing skills and quickness are above average, he'll have a hard time sticking in the league. The fact that the Cowboys have cut him twice and the Bears once should be a strong sign that there isn't a lot there.

Nice philosophy. Thus our contentment with subpar talent and those who are "good enough to compete."

Your philosophy of having the best guy at every position isn't possible in a salary cap league. I'd love to be able to have a Pro Bowler at every spot but reality is that doesn't happen, so you have to have guys that maybe aren't the best but can fit your system and make some plays. Mitchell was that and is probably better than the two jagoffs they just brought in to replace him.

Well, mate, someone got up on the wrong side of the position bed!
No one is implying (though you are inferring) that every position needs a star or, as you call it vaguely "the best guy" at every position. (I thought the best guy, relatively speaking, was always the best avenue, bloke, but that's just me.)
A pro bowler at every position is a pipe dream and you know it, mate. I think you are drinking too much coffee or taking too many milligrams of grumpy pills.
Turn that frown upside down into a smile, mate!

Frey had 7 starts with the Bears as a nickel cb, sounds like he was there top nickel guy.

http://www.nfl.com/player/isaiahfrey/2534861/profile

Isaiah Frey, one of the Bears' final cuts at the end of August, is ready to take hold of the nickel cornerback position he had for 16 games last season as part of the fallout from Charles Tillman's season-ending right triceps injury.
"I don't see any limitations on him in terms of he can't do this or he can't do that," Tucker said. "He can match patterns. He can get his hands on guys. He can play man coverage when called upon. He can apply pressure when called on to blitz. We feel good about him."
