Since they aren't playing the same position in the nfl I can't agree with the Ayodele comparison and it was meant as a slight anyway.

What makes you think the Akin comparison was meant as a slight?

Akin Ayodele--

I saw Ayodele covering a slot WR last year and getting burned for a long TD in man coverage.

There is nothing like a linebacker covering a slot receiver. :)

I don't think the Cowboys saw Ayodele when they drafted this guy.

Ayodele is not the type of player they want, imo.

Butler looks good coming off the edge. The PAC Ten is one of the top conferences. The offenses are no joke. He played good competition.

1. Ayodele's pass rush ability never translated to the nfl
2. Ayodele rarely made "plays" while playing a position that lends to making "plays" and lots of tackles and was traded away because of that.
3. He says he didn't like the Butler pick and names two of his own pet cats that went in the 7th as better alternatives.

Former Cowboys safety Ray Horton, now the Pittsburgh Steelers secondary coach, has high hopes for the man I was hoping the Cowboys would draft in the 4th or 5th round - playmaking cornerback/return man Smokin' Joe Burnett from Central Florida.

Horton calls him a "defensive Antwan Randle-El". When I look back at this draft, I'll compare Cowboys 5th round CB/S DeAngelo Smith, who may be used as a returner, to Steelers 5th round CB/KR Joe Burnett.

What a whiner, he has another pet cat. I would think that the Cowboys preferred Smith because he can also play FS and had a lot of picks. They also don't like 5-9 corners.
