we lost a great man..

what a kind gentle soul he had.

i'll always remember his kind words.

i never knew he was sick.

He wanted it that way. I asked him to let me post a thread so you all would know he was sick and could send out your thoughts and prayers. He said, "Hos, the season is coming. They've got more important things to worry about."

I kid you not. He made me promise to keep it virtually silent. Very few of us even knew he was ill. Less than 20 altogether.

cbz was a great fan and poster that will be missed. im an avid reader and longtime cowboyfan since i was a kid in the mid 70s. I mostly lurk and read info dont post a lot.

IIRC, it was the number of years he was a fan of the Cowboys...at the time he'd join the forum.

His sig had been updated at one time to state CBZ44, but he never changed his name.

He started posting on forums in 1999. It was meant to signify a Cowboys fan of 40 years. As the years mounted he simply never changed the number. I have literally known him for 8 years on these forums.

When I called 3 weeks ago and he assured me he was going to kick this in the butt he also told me he was coming to Arizona and taking me up on my offer of a good Mexican food. Man, I wish that could have happened before this.
