Another dumb play call, the Bucs crowd is into the game and on 1st down we come out running instead of taking a strike down the field to quiet the crowd and take confidence away from the Bucs defense.

What play will be on 2nd down? Another run?

OK, right...Newman's responsibility in zone has never been targeted.

Got it.

That's simply not how zone defenses are attacked. Offenses attack holes, not players. Each zone has a vunerable area, and it is that area that is attacked. Throwing the ball five yards in front of Newman's assigned zone is no different than five yards in front of Revis' zone.

They must be running a prevent defense here.

That's why you don't gift the opponent ANY free opportunities. If the offense drives on you and gets into the endzone then tip your hat to them and blame your defense.

But you cannot just put yourself in bad situations where you turn the ball over and set them up with easy chances to score
