I agree and this is not a knock on Crayton who is actually playing as well as Roy Williams right now. That being said, Dallas needs a speed WR to open up the offense to keep teams from playing tight coverage and teeing off on the QB. Roy Williams is not as fast as I thought he was going to be. Dallas cannot afford to keep both him and Crayton as the starting WRs.

Miles will be the starter soon if not from now on IMO. He needs reps.

Clearly. And Patrick shouldn't feel too bad about that either... he has shined as a slot receiver in 06' and 07' and will be VERY productive if he accepts that role going forward.

No way you can leave Austin's talent on the bench for any reason after today's showing.

Romo looked like a new QB with him out there. I will almost go as far as to say that Roy11 now has to worry about standing as the #2 because his chemistry w/Tony isn't on par's with Crayton's either.

Army. Takes up about 99% of my time.

I'm on a 4 day pass back home now though, I get to go back to hell, errr, Fort Gordon tomorrow.

I freakin' hate TRADOC.

Home of Signal Corps...spent 9 months there eventhough I was Ordnance! Don't just love running around that massive field hundreds of times???

I know it's only one game, but.....

10 catches, 250 yards, 2 touchdowns
And he had a real shot of having about 280+ yards and 5 TD's.

I'll take it any way we can get it at this point. We stunk it up for sure but that last TD play was a season-changing play IMO. Cowboys get a huge burst and a shot of momentum going into the bye week. I'm optimistic.
Exactly. Who cares how we won the game, who it was against. Look in this league NOTHING is guarantee. We are struggling right now. Down by 10 points late in the 3rd. You pull out the victory. There are 3 columns in the standings that matter: win, loss, tie. It doesn't say wins against teams that aren't that good or lucky wins or games you should have lost. Take the win and be happy for it. Would you like to be 2-3 right now going into the bye week. I don't get it.

Austin had an AMAZING day but lets not jump to conclusions. It WAS the Kansas City Chiefs. Until I see Austin do it against a top ten defense I'm not drinkin' the Kool Aid.

Other than a few miscues, and the defense falling short again...

1. Our defense is still playing really well for 3/4 of football. Maybe if the offense/special teams doesn't put them in those end of game positions, we won't have to worry about them.

2. Romo/WRs... Romo was connecting with wide receivers all day... which is what our offense has been lacking. I'm not just talking about Miles Austin. We were throwing at WRs all day. I wish Jason Garrett would learn what a slant route is though.

3. Running back group. Marion barber will be healthy after the bye. Felix Jones should return after the bye.

4. Defense should have some time to recover from some injuries... Ware, Sensabaugh. Offensive linemen are obviously knicked up a bit too.

5. The best player on this team right now is Keith Brooking... this man is unbelievable.

The bye couldn't have come at a better time.

Now I watched the whole game and I cheered for the Boys to win and I'm happy that we got it. Austin had a great game, but he could have had more if he caught a few key passes early in the game. Overall I thought this game really tested the character of these Dallas Cowboys and I'm sure many folks on the team got a solid vote of confidence in Tony Romo today.

The players know that they played a bad game but at least they were able to unite and score when it mattered. The last part of this comment is what this team needs to take away from this game and make sure during the bye week that they practice, practice, practice and perfect the execution.

We could have dominated this team but we faced alot of adversity early on and came out the better team.

It's one game but he clearly provides big play ability and explosiveness for an offense in dire need of those qualities. Crayton got behind the TB defense a couple of times - clearly there was busted coverage on both plays - but he's not getting it done. Start Austin.

With that said, Austin himself has a lot of work to do in growing as a WR. He needs to mentally make the right play. But really what do we have to lose. Hopefully by the end of the season, Austin would've developed into a very good #2 WR.

Romo played well and Austin tore it up. For those sorry about this win, would you prefer a loss or something?? As for me, Im going to just enjoy this win. 3-2 is better than 2-3.

We just went to overtime and won in spite of ourselves against arguably the worst team in the NFL. If Kansas City knew how to tackle at all we probably lose today. Anybody who thinks this team is going anywhere in the longterm is fooling themselves Yeah, we're 3-2, but the teams we have beaten are now a combined 1-14 and the one win was Carolina over hapless Washington. We had what, 15 penalties today? Our defense showed once again that a Wade Phillips coached unit is INCAPABLE of coming up with a stop in the 2 minute drill. Our offense was fairly inept against an awful defense, with 14 of our points coming solely as a result of Kansas City's inability to tackle anything. The few lone bright spots from today's game (Austin, Choice, Ware, Ratliff) were completely overshadowed by the complete and total ineptitude of guys like Flozell, Crayton, Hamlin, and of course Wade and Garrett.

The worst part of today's game is that so many of you will use this as proof that we are coming togther and this was somehow a turning point in our season. Equally as bad is the fact that it takes a little heat off of our coaches, who are somehow feeling their way blindly to victories over inept teams. In a way, a loss would have almost been better IMO because it would have removed any remaining support our coaches had from the fanbase, something that will happen by season's end regardless. Might as well get it out of the way early, but now we get to hear about the great win over Kansas City until we get pounded at home by an actual team in two weeks.

And he did drop 3 TD passes. When he quits dropping the ball, I'll get excited.
