I'm more concerned right now with the bipolar disorder 35+% of this site clearly has.

On a side note my Coastal Carolina boy Mike Tolbert is a straight up stud for San Diego.

Hmm, some thoughts:

Rivers (72% CMP, 92yds, 1td) > Romo (66% CMP, 58yd, 1TD-1INT). Romo threw a bonehead INT which lead to a TD while Rivers looked crisp and efficient.

Felix, Tyron, and Witten look beastly. Dez and Miles will also no doubt be explosive which should shape us up to be a top 5 or higher offense.

Demarcus Ware looked like a beast, but our coverage was soft and hopefully, VANILLA. Abe Elam and Sensabaugh are showing that we don't have much to worry about when it comes to the safety position though.

No they did notdecline in Washington. He inherited an old, 4-12 team and built them up to a playoff contender in 3 years with horrible front office and ownership.

He's been successful in a tough conference in the AFC.

Bag on the guy all you want, but it doesn't mean your opinion is an informed one.

Jerry Rice said he was the worst head coach he ever had on any level. His opinion is good enough for me.

My opinion is very informed. Post a poll around the NFL boards. It'll be decidely in my favor. You're in the vast minority if you think Norv Turner is a quality head coach. The guy's as JAG as you can get. I thought this was common knowledge.

He did so well in Washington. Go ask a Commander fan about Norv. See what they tell ya.

Here's another year where he's got the talent to win it all. And he has no chance. Zero. They're beat before the first game kicks off. Because of him.

I don't know where the worrying is coming from when our two starting defensive backs aren't playing yet. When they're back (and you know Mike Jenkins should be to start the season, uncertain on Terrence Newman) then you're not going to see us getting killed in single coverage situations. Obviously Ball and Scandrick can't defend starters, but we already knew that. Everybody else looks okay, Sensabaugh was extremely close to having an interception, Barry Church had a great play, and Abram Elam brought a lot of pressure on one play.

doesn't explain the run defense.

This defense sucks and will for the majority of the season. There, you have it on record.
Lighten up, Francis.

Blah. 8-8

I wish I had the extensive amount of wisdom and foresight needed to draw a win/loss conclusion after 1 and a half preseason games.

Rice played what, four games with him and was traded?

I'll go with Troy Aikman's opinion, thank you.

The fact that some of you expect this D to be in mid-season form is troubling.

Harrison: The eagles are a good team, they're gonna win their division.

*Groan*

I'm really tired of analyst doing this, you don't know anything. This is a league of attrition and anything can happen from year to year.

Did everyone forget that this is preseason? It's a pumped up scrimmage. RR is testing his blitzes and I feel JG (who has had more time with his squad, is playing more conservitavely), and has more sustainability within his own squad, excluding the OL. I think when Newman and Jenkins are healthy, we will see a different D in terms of 3rd down conversions.

There seem to be quite a few fans who think this is an 8-8 team. The thing is, an 8-8 team is only a couple of good bounces away from being a 10-6 team and in the playoffs. I think we are due to have the ball bounce our way a few times this year.

It's amazing how people, both Cowboys fans and opposing fans, overlook this very critical element. I guarantee you if you go to a San Diego message board, they will only gloat about how their offense moved up and down the field. They will never mentioned that we had our starting LB, and two starting corners out. Why, because it takes away from their high, so they choose to ignore those facts. It's the human nature aspect of a typical fan. Makes me chuckle sometimes. :laugh2:

I don't care what the vast majority of posters think. Most of them dont understand the game.

And the Chargers have a very real chance at the Super Bowl.
