They need to get over and get right.
Dak made some bad throws and bad decisions in that game. But he also made some great throws and some incredible leadership too. Diving on that fumble saved the game.
CD's can be unstoppable, his catch along the sideline was a thing of beauty, but at times he also ran some pretty effortless routes. He is letting his frustration get the better of him. He needs to learn to control or channel his emotions.

But I get why he and Dak are frustrated. All those defensive double teams makes it hard to get open enough for Dak to hit him as much as they both want to do it. I see other teams scheme their top WR's into 1 on 1 coverage many times a game, but it seems like we don't ever even seem to try to do that with CD. We need to figure out how to get him the ball easier, without all those end around plays.

The problem is there is no speed in this WR group. Jerry needs to go sign Tyron Billy-Johnson. He knows the playbook and system. His deep speed would greatly help keep CeeDee from constantly getting double covered. It's not hard to understand how to fix this, but this team (ownership and coaches) makes it hard.
Ryan Flournoy ran a 4.38 (hand timed) forty at the combine (4.44 electronic).

Collinsworth correctly called out Dak it was a terrible pass and it looked like CD was shocked the ball went in his direction . Later in the game trying to hit Tolbert deep double coverage Joey Porter Jr got a gift wrapped INT . And you’ve got the strip sack fumble . I’m not sure CD should be a scapegoat .

Earlier in the game everyone take note of the deep sideline catch by 88 . A thing of beauty .
No, he said it was uncertain about who was at fault.

I love the fan narrative. CD is the problem for yelling at Dak, he's toxic and childish and immature. CD just told take to throw a jump ball and he has him, which is pretty positive. CD is clearly not a problem yall just want to read into stuff and make up these stories.
Mike Irvin never called out the QB...Not even a backup QB.

Calvin Johnson...never.

Jerry Rice...never.

The DB had over coverage at the point Dak released the ball. The back corner only looked open to fans because they only consider positioning at the point the ball arrives.

The DB could not have stepped in front of CeeDee if CeeDee had run the route that Dak expected him to run.

Kurt Warner has done multiple videos in the past showing CeeDee running routes incorrectly.

I'm only lukewarm on Dak and didn't want to give him a new contract, but this one was on CeeDee.

I real FO would have signed him in time for training camp.
Lamb was ALREADY signed for the 2024 season...in the same boat as Dak. His holdout for an extension was in breach of his existing contract (while Dak honored his). Lamb's absence was on him, not the FO.

I just hope CeeDee can manage his emotions, and get used to the fact he is likely to be double-teamed every game, with a lot of other guys getting targets as a result. Goes with the territory.
Actually ,that's the whole point of the post,

there was no negativity there was no conflict there is no conspiracy he was trying to communicate to his quarterback that he felt like next time same situation throw me a jump ball and that he's got you at least it wouldn't be an interception...

but in my opinion I don't think he made an effort to come back for the ball he watched it get picked off Dez Bryant would have flattened that dude!!

why not, if you see a ball look like it's coming and it could be picked off,

why are you not making an effort to get back and just hit the defender, he'll take a penalty like do whatever you can for it not to be an interception you could've got holding on the offense or whatever they would have called it and they would've not got the ball back there on a turnover... it would've just simply you got to in a game do all you can to help each other and to me he didn't make the effort to come back so he had no reason to gripe but this is not the situation where you said CD needs to manage his emotions..

I'll take a Dez Bryant, TO, and Michael Irvin any day of the week and I want lamb to be more like that.. he needs to come over and say that they tried to make this a negative and it was not a negative he was saying that he felt if it was a jump ball the situation wouldn't have ended at an interception.. Absolutely 0 wrong with that my man... We need more of that on this team...

:hammer:Exactly we don't need to blame lamb but usually the quarterback like what was it game one where he had to throw the ball away in the end zone and lamb admitted later that he was supposed to get a different read and go right and he went left they weren't on the same page but I expect him by now to be on the same page... And I want lamb to be emotional I want him to have communication like this there's no problem with that however I wish he would have went back when he saw the ball in the air and it looked like it could be picked off and go hit the defender I mean make sure he doesn't get the ball whether you gotta commit a foul or not you could at least kept the ball and kick the field goal even with a penalty on you for interfering with the defensive back there's a lot of things that you watch in film and they will correct this I don't know if the ball would have been a jump ball would have been a better situation but yes Prescott thought he was gonna come back he didn't maybe it's a little of both they're both wrong and I don't mind him communicating in that manner and hopefully next time they get it right..

Yeah I rewatched the play and I couldn’t tell there was an offside but the cowboys did rush back out the huddle but they weren’t that quick to get in presnap setup. If he tried to pull the ole Aaron Rodgers, he was terrible at it

Flournoy's 4.44 is not as fast as Tyron Billy-Johnson's 4.34.
Yes, this guy is the key to the season...or not...

yeah clearly Dak was expecting a comeback to the pylon...but going off memory that was covered well the fade may have been the better throw..
Nah the back shoulder was the better throw because the safety and the corner had upfield leverage on on CD. The only reason CD broke open late was because the DB reacted to the ball and CD didn't.

Still should have been done on time.

And?

The thing is we need deep speed, preferably with some height. Tyron Billy-Johnson could help with his 4.34 speed and decent height (6'1").

Denzel Mims (6'3", 4.38 speed) was brought in for a workout today but was not signed. Instead, the Cowboys signed to their practice squad Seth Williams who has height but is much slower (6'3", 4.54 speed). Looks like the Cowboys are not taking deep speed seriously. With the next 6 opponents being extremely tough and very good teams with playoffs good defenses, we shall soon find out who was right: you and the Cowboys ...... or me ...... about needing deep speed with height to pose as a deep threat and help open things up better underneath for our slower WRs?

Remember this post.

By 3 hundreds of a second, it's not much of a difference. Plus, Billy-Johnson has height (6'1") which would help against tall DBs.
I can't argue that but to date Turpin has shown more as a receiver than TBJ has. He's a tough lil dude who's not afraid to go over the middle (with today's rule nobody should be) and seems to have solved his dropsies from early in the season. I think he might have secured himself a spot as the #3 for the foreseeable future to be honest. That kinda heat in the slot scares the hell outta defenses. McCarthy has done a really good job getting him matched up on safeties the last couple of games.. That's almost unfair!

I GOT NO SYMPATHY FOR DAK as he is the highest paid QB in DC history. He has to know where to go with the ball. If its not there throw it away. QB's get to much credit for when things go well, and not aneough credit when things go bad. There are other players on this team than can catch besides 88. Dak
