Benson is out on a $14,500 bail.

Benson was arrested for boating while intoxicated and resisting arrest.
The 25 year old former Longhorn running back was drafted by the Chicago Bears in 2005.

This is not his first arrest.

Back in 2004 Benson spent time in the Del Valle Correctional Facility for criminal trespassing.

He was found guilty of breaking into a woman's house in search of a stolen television.

He must have forgot to use the "don't you know who I am" line.

BTW, driving a boat and drinking = driving a car and drinking.

He is clearly on his way to becoming a Dallas Cowboy.

Dont like your situation? Break the law and Dallas will sign you.

Dont like your team because its losing? Piss them off and Dallas will sign you.

Dont like the team that drafted you? Piss them off and Dallas will sign you.

He doesn't have the talent to overcome his issues. He sucks in the NFL.

People go out and drink while boating all the time.

The question is was he drinking while driving the boat.

Since he was arrested with that charge, I would think that the answer to that question was "yes". If he was simply "in the boat", the charge would be public intoxication and resisting arrest.

THe difference is, he has no talent and is not worth even a roster spot.

There is a method to the cowboys madness.

I'm also not understanding why people get so bent out of shape having 2 people with checkered pasts on our team?

Didn't our 90s team have a White House???????? Get over it.:bang2:

That has to be the worst excuse for bringing in thugs out of all the excuses there is.

Although we did win in the 90's we emberassed the heck out of our franchise.

that sucks. he must have tried to flee in the boat hahah. this is hardly a news headline

So YoMick great idea. I guess now we really understand it's not that the Bengals have so many bad guys but that these players just want out of Cincy & want to play for the Cowboys. Same obviously goes for Colts WR Marvin Harrison; now it obviously he secreted has been wanting to be a Cowboy but it was deep down and just exploded.

I got a better idea. Based on your idea, the Commish should establish a ruling that only 1 player in each division in the NFL can be considered by the Cowboys to play on their team. Hooray. We've just got rid of the criminal element & cut it down to 8. Now that's a big WOW. Now let's see. Who did we want from the NFL East (excluding our Cowboys of course), from the NFC South, West & North. Oh what about the AFC East, West, South & North. Hey, we don't have to even think about Amondola cause we can get the real Wes Welker. Or we just wait a little while & one of the better WRs will get in trouble and, following the Commish's new rule, we can sign him for nothing.

Yeah, cause the cops never give the wrong charges.

Could be that the boat was registered to him but he wasn't driving it and was drinking, but they arrested him anyway because the boat was in his name. Could be the resisting charge came when he insisted he wasn't the one driving the boat, so didn't understand why they were arresting him.

Maybe we should wait for the facts before making assumptions.

Exactly, let's not let the inmates run the asylum.

It is okay to give people second chances if they truly want to change their lives.
