Many NFL QBs can "throw a receiver open" even when coverage is tight

Dak ain't one of those guys. If the WRs and/or the play design can't create major separation on almost every route, he struggles.
Dak has been throwing receivers open ALL SEASON LONG, yet this poster comes out and lies at will because no one calls him out.

Shots fired at Dak.

He's about to get Cooper'd.
So it would have to be
Mike is stupid ?
vegas / nfl telling mike who to give targets too??

Dak only throws to who he is told to most of the time, he only ad libs when that guy is covered too long and he has to scramble around.
so I dont see it being dak , dak might miss him but not just not throw it to him

The pass rush tonight main goal was to keep dak contained in pocket and pressure him and it worked

Posters who insists Dak missed bunch of "wide" open receivers are full of crap. Unless you were at the game with a birds eye view, you won't know for sure. There is no way to know if some one is "wide" open from the broadcast view unless they show the wide angle view in slow mo.

You won't know for sure either way until the All-22 comes out but the fact that Olsen also kept saying, Dak had no one to go to and no one was open through out the broadcast tells me Dak didn't miss bunch of "wide" open receivers.

I highly doubt MM called plays to not go to CeeDee.

Dak just don't see things.
Hibernation must be over. I should have known you'd come out after a loss or two...just so you can blame Dak. Fyi....head coaches do call plays to get the ball to specific players. You'd know that if you played football.

Possibly but some of the replays showed some guys were open and Dak missed them/couldnt pull trigger.
Agreed.

Dak has played at a high MVP-like level for most of the season but if you follow the team, you know he has tendencies. I think one of those tendencies is that he seemingly can get locked into going a certain direction with the ball presnap and forcing it in.

This is 1000% towards Dak

So many plays he was open and Dak threw it somewhere else. He throws that screen pass to Gallup where if he throw it to Ceedee, it wouldve been a td
Fins played a lot of Zone.

CD was open at times.

Dak struggles vs Cover 2 for some reason.

Miami loses Mossart AND Waddle, what do they do? They double down on Tyreek. Why? Because he's their playmaker and they trust him to make the play. Yet the Cowboys constantly take the ball away from CeeDee because teams play coverage towards him. Nobody to blame but Dak or McCarthy for not trusting Lamb. Trust your playmakers and let them do work!
Fins HC is a brilliant coach.

CeeDee is correct. McCarthy should call plays for CeeDee every series, and Dak should target Lamb even more, crank 10 targets to 14-15.

Cooper was out bc he had a huge contract and wasn’t worth 20M a year. We were lucky to trade that contract.
Yeah, no way Cooper signs a 3-4 year deal and lower his cap hit if we had wanted that LOL

That trade was all about Cooper calling out Dak

We had receivers open on lots of plays. Dak still holds the ball too long. It can’t be fixed.
There is the real problem. The guy is not mentally quick enough to go through his reads and find the open receiver. Couple that with a really poor offensive line showing and you get the result we got.

That would require Dak to put the ball in the air with anticipation. Dak doesn't know what that word means.

The coaching staff doesn't throw the football. Last time I checked CeeDee runs routes every play.
The coaching staff makes the plays. The coaching staff when making the plays determines the read order. Therefore the coaching staff is the one who called plays where Lamb was not the primary option, or even the secondary option.
