CeeDee Lamb at running back

Williams was running 6 yards a pop, why do coaches have to get cute when things are working?
This. Javonte was dominating... craziness. But I don't blame the coaching staff for any injury. These guys know the risks and play ball for the highest of stakes.

Basically yes. Dallas opened the game by forcing a three and out and moved the ball on the ground deep into Bears territory. Then the turnover just seemed to flip the script. Once Lamb went down any hopes of keeping pace in a shootout went away.

Blame Dak all we want, this offense has to outscore two defenses- the opponent and their own- every week.
I will blame Dak equally with the Defense today. He did nothing to put pressure on the scab Bears DB-s. He looks afraid to push the ball down field again. Shades of early last season.

To be fair, CeeDee's been doing that play for few years now. And have done well running it. It's the old MM play from GB where he had Cobb back there as the RB. MM ran it with CeeDee last few years.

Who's brilliant idea was it to put our 37 million wide receiver in at running back when we drafted a running back that were not even using.
For that matter Williams was running very hard and very well.

To compound matters who was responsible for putting him back in after his ankle was twisted into a pretzel to possibly suffer more injury
This team is just stupid

Can't believe Jerry sits in that box and tolerates this type of stupidity and embarrassment it doesn't matter how much money you're worth being embarrassed on national television like this is ridiculous
It was Dak’s idea. He killed the pass and called for a run, and then he continued to play like dog st all night

It was so weird. He's capable of pushing it down field, so why didn't he? The Lions did it and annihilated the Bears. Why didn't our couches have the intelligence to maybe study that game? Why didn't Dak? No, we had to go gimmicky with Lamb and then dump it off with short passes the whole game. Actually, I think I know why. TOP. Our defense is terrible so keeping them as rested as possible is the only chance the defense has, not that it helps with Eberflushed scheming garbage that doesn't match our players.

That made your $60 million QB look less than average

For sure it's injury waiting to happen.
Guys that are built like Earl Campbell and Jerome bettis are meant to run into the teeth of the defense guys built like Randy Moss and CD lamb are built to go one-on-one with the team's best cornerback and win.
Then later in the game we run the ball with our 155 pound WR.

Without question.......an obviously bad idea. The injury is enough to scratch that play out of the playbook.......permanently.

I like that Adams is thinking outside the box with using Lamb as a RB. Maybe trying lining Pickens and Lamb in an I formation to confuse the defense. Hitting an open Pickens leaking out of the backfield is tough to defend.
I know Pickens is light, but can he take on a LB to make a hole for Lamb? We need to change things up to take some pressure off of Dak.

Agreed. My beef is not with Javonte. My beef is with the pairing of both veteran runners (Javonte Williams and Miles Sanders). Sanders is the problem. Jaydon Blue could perform much better. Why is Schotty refusing to play Blue? It's because he is stubbornly favoring the older vets. Dumb coach.
This is ridiculous we know the guy has tremendous athletic skill if he was a stone moron why did we draft him.
I can't believe this guy cannot be coached up to take a handoff and follow his blocking.

Okay maybe we don't want him in on pass place because he wouldn't know his blocking assignment but we drafted him to run the ball now can we at least try it rather than getting the best player on our team hurt by attempting to make him into a running back.

It's like you give this coaching staff books on how to coach football and all they do is eat the covers.

For sure CD is going to be out 3 or 4 weeks with a high ankle sprain because of this nonsense

That decision along with Williams’ fumble lost us this game
Come on now - the defense was atrocious and is the reason we lost

Those two things didn’t help but we had other more significant shortcomings

CD says otherwise and with quality medical & therapy treatment.. If anyone's experienced such (I have).....the high ankle sprain certainly takes longer than the normal sprain. Pool work (running in place in the water) helped me. We shall see....can be nagging and easily reaggravated too......

The defense was atrocious the week before and we won.

Going up 7 against a front/running qb like Caleb couldve played into our favor
