CeeDee Lamb needs 98 receiving yards to pass Drew Pearson

Its trying to take a dig at Lamb who is a talented player regardless of when he played
It's not a dig. He wouldn't have put these numbers up in such a short time back then. He just wouldn't. Would he be great? Yeah probably, but his numbers would be more in line with what the other greats of the time were putting up...if he survived going over the middle...

It actually is they won't give any players in this era or even when Jason Witten played with Romo and Dez Bryant they don't get their dude they keep coming up with all these weird things about an era i'm tired of hearing about it They play in this era and they're overtaking all the old players and I don't care why they're living up to the money hey you know that's what we say around here the guys get paid and they tail off not CD lamb even when he was injured last year he had a very respectable year missing four games and yet people acted like George Picken was the better player how about now I mean come on how's George doing right now Oh that's right he's a decoy that's right if it wasn't for George pick and CD lamb wouldn't be CD lamb right now they said that when Amari Cooper was here you were wrong then because 2023 proved it which is the best year by any receiver in Dallas Cowboy history he deserves his flowers with no caveat with no * you get that we don't care about that era no more we're literally trying to give a current player that wears the star an 88 his due and we don't need any butts ifs ands and butts blahbity blah blah blah..

Now back to our regularly scheduled program 0 wait I'm gonna take one more dig away from you guys and say Yep one Dakota Prescott is gonna own every passing record ever by a Dallas Cowboys quarterback everybody in here says that's all he does is put up stats yeah the stats needed to be the best producing quarterback in Cowboys history no no not talk about the rings I don't remember him having stacked teams like Matthew Stafford and Sam Darnold he's been playing with a less talented coaching staff in roster so if you want to start putting asterisks by it let's start talking about how Troy and Roger had everything they would ever need not to have to carry a team and everyone's in here well yeah it's a different era no they never were asked to do anything but be the quarterback they didn't have to be the hero they didn't have to be the one that carried the team That would have been Emmett Smith the offensive line the defense that have been Tony Dorsett the offensive line and the defense along with a stellar Hall of Fame coaching staff let me know when Brian Schottenheimer and Christian Parker plan to make the Hall of Fame and then we can talk..

Well good in any other era smart fans would have a better reading comprehension and they would have a better Attention span and it wouldn't bother them that somebody's right and that you were trying to undermine and take the legs out of our new 88 who has done everything to earn that number and keep that number so yeah you were taking a dig and too late too bad soo sad!!

Yeah Nate didn't get it yet but they did this earlier in the year with George Pickens versus CD Lamb over the offseason people are saying George Pickens should replace CD Lamb yes that's disrespectful it is taking a dig at him The man's earned his money he's earned the 88 and he doesn't need you questioning whether he should be up next to those names...NEXT

Drew had a tailback that demanded you run the ball more when my main man TD got there, just like the playmaker had ES there, so they both would have had more passes thrown there way, but just happened to have 2 of the best to ever run the ball in their presents.
Drew didnt have Tony until his 5th year in the league, and he was already Mr Clutch when Tony arrived. The RBs he had his first 4 years were nothing to write home about, except Preston Pearson, who eventually was better 3rd down back then primary runner.

Drew was incredible to watch, he should have been in HOF long time ago, but glad he was around to enjoy his eventual induction.

You could literally mug Drew back in the day, and not even get a second look for a penalty....today, you even think about it you're flagged. There is no comparing any 88 to the OG

CD is a beast .

Like many here, I grew up watching Drew Pearson and Roger Staubach.
They played in a era when receivers were pushed, shoved and some times hit all the way down the field until the release of the ball.
Today, no touching beyond five yards.
Back then, a 52% completion rate was considered the standard.

If he's cooking early tomorrow, let's hope they don't freeze him out for 2-and-a-half quarters like they did against Washington in Week 2.

you just look at some old game films of back then. 1978 is when things started to change.
It is no shock that by stats Roger;s two most productive years were his last two.
before 1978, it was an incredibly brutal game. Read the book "They Call me Assassin" sometime
What was done in every game back then would get a lifetime ban now

So maybe that way that will only mean that George Pickens is going to get open That's the whole point of having two guys like this if one guy is cooking and the other team has to adjust they're going to pay the price of George Pickens can just stop putting his hands on people pushing off getting penalties getting open the old fashioned way by running better routes and then catching the football when you're open..

They did not freeze people out there's a flow of a game that's natural you're gonna get yours in some games and not get it other games Shall we go to AJ Brown for an example now he's no longer in Philadelphia but how's he doing now that he left 'cause he was upset at his targets..lol
