Lamb is a fantastic player. He’s already very good and, frankly, looks like a 3 year vet and that’s with no training camp and about 12 practices before the first game. That’s at a position that is one of the most difficult to learn in the NFL and historically has pummeled young players who come in and want to make an immediate impact.
And don’t forget, he was a true junior when he declared for the draft. He’s very young.
CeeDee will only improve from here, and he will improve a ton which is a scary thought for defenses because he is already impacting the game and is as effortless and smooth as any of the great WR’s in football right now. That isn’t with him getting the lion’s share of the passes either. He is sharing the load with what is essentially two other number 1 WR’s in Gallup and Cooper.
He started taking football seriously in the 10th grade, and he was a star as a Sophomore, Junior, and Senior in high school, setting a number of records in Texas. Then, he goes to a major university in Oklahoma that is full of talented players and starts as a true Freshmen, Sophomore, and Junior, starring all 3 seasons. There, he set numerous school records and impacted every game they played for 3 years.
Lamb has never been not great.
Now he walks into the NFL, with no off season and very little practice and begins lighting things up immediately.
Everyone says Lamb looks great and thinks that he is going to be a star... and the thing is, everyone just might be underestimating him. Just think about that.
