I really dont think Jerry feels any pressure this year, and I believe that because of his all in comments and follow through on those comments all offseason. He's all in on giving this group one more year. I'm sure his preference is to win a lot of games, but I get the feeling he is content with going 7-10 and blowing this thing up too.

He was as pissed as the rest of us over the GB playoff debacle. SO MANY in here wanted hi to do exactly as he is doing. Now they are having second thoughts?
I like the fact he hasnt signed Dak. Id let the season go. If we dont make the playoffs or get bounced again in game 1, Id be perfectly content to say goodbye to Dak. If Dak takes us to the title game or a SB, Id also be ok paying him 60 million. Its a win win for the team IMO.

I think the Joneses are trying to make a stand. They don’t want to set the market on contracts anymore. This could get ugly. I have a feeling CeeDee will ask for a trade in a few weeks if he has not already. CeeDee was not even at the Dak yard workout. He is not playing another down of football without a contract extension. I think Stephen is in charge of the contracts now. Jerry is a figure head.

Wonder if Jarrett Bell, the article's writer, came up with that article title? Or whether his editor did? Someone does not know Jerry Jones as well as they believe according to the situation being reported.

There’s a lot of pressure on the Joneses. If they end up paying CeeDee which is almost a certainty the Joneses will have to worry about trying to maximize his contract with a lesser QB if Dak walks after this season. He may not produce near as much with the next QB, then fans will start complaining that CeeDee is yet another bad contract.

Jerry Jones in reference to the Chiefs and Tyreek Hill situation a season or two ago: “Were they as worried about losing him as our fans might be about losing Lamb?” Jones asked.

Jerry, the Cowboys are not the Chiefs. Andy Reid, Pat Mahomes, and Travis Kelce made it a little easier to trade the Cheetah.

If they wanted them to play out the year, they wouldn't be sending offers to the agents.

Dallas is taking a slow approach to re-signing these guys. Probably trying to get closer to a honest offer than market value.

Second thoughts on what? I'm not sure I understand what you're getting at?

I have no issues with him letting Dak play the season out. Personally I would have rather had some resolution on the matter months ago, but that's fine. I just don't see this team going to a title game this year and Dak then settling for $60M. Tomorrows price is never todays price, and with another bump in the cap plus multiple bidders I'm sure $60M isnt realistic anymore. Its really more Daks decision than Jerrys.

Second thoughts from thos ein here that were ready for Jerry to do what hes doing. Now hes playing hardball and everyon eis freaking out and pissed at Jerry for not signing the players.

Well I do not know wha tthe players' demands are, so how can I be pissed at Jerry?Like I have stated many times. Maybe Lamb is wanting a no trade cause and no franchise tag clause like Dak did. How has that worked out for us? So I wouldnt sign Lamb if he was asking for that either. But, WE DONT KNOW!!!!!!

..If anything, CD's situation is more feasible of all three. Let Dak play out his contract. He gets us to championship game. Pay the man.

Parsons in same boat. But he still has two more years dotted in.

I would hope that if the Cowboys have a lesser QB next year they would try to keep an elite WR on the roster so the pass game isn't horrific next season. Im not sure if Lamb is a QB dependent receiver though. Granted it's a smaller sample size, but he did put up really strong numbers in the 6 games Cooper Rush started....I don't remember the specific number but I think his averages converted to a 17 game season had him on pace for 1400 yards or something like that.

I'm assuming a lot here, but I could see Jerry thinking about it in terms of its either Lamb or Dak, but not both, unless they can get the discount rates.

They can’t afford to lose Dak, and CeeDee so I fully expect CeeDee to be extended. The Cowboys wouldn’t be worth a crap in 2025 without both players.
