CeeDee not signing puts extra pressure on the Jones' Cowboys

There’s a lot of pressure on the Joneses. If they end up paying CeeDee which is almost a certainty the Joneses will have to worry about trying to maximize his contract with a lesser QB if Dak walks after this season. He may not produce near as much with the next QB, then fans will start complaining that CeeDee is yet another bad contract.

Or...CeeDee starts throwing fits because the new QB sucks, and asks for a trade.

I can see a very uncomfortable situation for the Jones's here. Dak walks and you are QB-less. If your star WR wasnt getting along with a MVP runner up QB in a playoff game after having a monster season...its going to be hard to please him in the future.

Im a huge fan of Lamb's game. But the body language in the playoff game was off-putting...and its not the only time he's done it.

He doesn’t feel any pressure. Why should he? I don’t think Dak, or CeeDee, feel any either. Jerry’s team is going to pay Dak $29 million dollars to be a football player for one season. He gets it whether the team wins or loses. Next season someone is going to pay him even more. CeeDee doesn’t even feel like showing up to play. What a life all of them live.

Part of what could be holding up CeeDee from signing is our uncertainty at QB past this season. Dak and CeeDee have created a lot of chemistry together. Dak targeted him all last season, putting him in a position for a huge payday.

Jones isn't going to sign any of these bums unless they make a deep, deep playoff run. He wants Parsons, Dak and CeeDee to prove it on the field and they won't.

This is the exact opposite of how the NFL works, but do you.

We never gave up more than 17 points in the four wins we had with Cooper Rush. Our offense was middle of the pack at best with Rush. We beat the Rams with him passing for just 100 yards. CeeDee didn’t have a 100 yard game and everyone was saying he wasn’t a number one receiver. As soon as Dak returned our offense shot to number one in the NFL and CeeDee had five 100 yard games. It’s laughable how some of you keep bringing up the wins we had with Cooper Rush. You would rather have him at QB than Dak. Lol

The star players don’t feel pressure to win. And Jerry Jones doesn’t feel any pressure to win. Aaron Judge always looks like he’s having the time of his life. Even when he strikes out.

Not sure what you’re talking about, but I haven’t made any bad predictions about this season. I’m talking about next season if Dak walks. We have a chance to be a good team this season with Dak. It’s going to depend on the rest of the team.

There isn’t anything I’ve said that’s going to make me look bad. I’ll keep this thread bookmarked and refer back to it during the 2025 season if we’re stuck with a scrub at QB. We’ll see then if it’s not going to matter who our QB is.
