Second thoughts from thos ein here that were ready for Jerry to do what hes doing. Now hes playing hardball and everyon eis freaking out and pissed at Jerry for not signing the players.

Well I do not know wha tthe players' demands are, so how can I be pissed at Jerry?Like I have stated many times. Maybe Lamb is wanting a no trade cause and no franchise tag clause like Dak did. How has that worked out for us? So I wouldnt sign Lamb if he was asking for that either. But, WE DONT KNOW!!!!!!
I'm fine with that take. I agree completely that you cant just sign these guys for whatever they ask for. My only complaint is if they dont feel like they can retain them they should at least be exploring the trade market.

They can’t afford to lose Dak, and CeeDee so I fully expect CeeDee to be extended. The Cowboys wouldn’t be worth a crap in 2025 without both players.
Maybe. Personally I think they are still a playoff team with one or the other, but that also depends on the Cowboys ability to spend the savings appropriately as well. It would also help if they could actually grab some draft capital for guys on their way out too.

I think Jerry wants the next coach to have a clean slate.. Belicheat conspiracy theory..

We’re not going to be a playoff team without a real good QB. The Cowboys are very QB dependent due to an inconsistent running game and repeated defensive breakdowns against good teams. Plus, we’re one of the league leaders in penalties every year. Had it not been for Dak last season we wouldn’t have beaten Seattle in that shootout or squeaked by Detroit. Had we lost both games we would have missed the playoffs.

Your obsession with the next QB is troubling.
So you’ll be okay with just sticking in any QB in the starting lineup and you believe that will have the Cowboys competing for a Super Bowl?

Seems like a bunch of BS to me: https://www.usatoday.com/story/spor...dee-lamb-contract-dallas-cowboys/74711608007/

Jones isn't going to sign any of these bums unless they make a deep, deep playoff run. He wants Parsons, Dak and CeeDee to prove it on the field and they won't.
About time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
leonardo-dicaprio-clapping.gif

Get it done or show them the door enough of these can only perform against sub zero teams!!!!

and you think 1 game erases a 138 catch 1700 yard, 12 TD season????? bahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahha
I think its a real bad look when your franchise receiver has bigger deer in headlight eyes than your QB in the playoffs. He looks scared and outmatched while out there crocodile arm catching ****.

Nice deflection! Lol.

BTW, the Dak bashing is justified.
Bashing one of the top QBs in the league who just came in second for league, MVP and led the league in TDs isn’t justified. You and the rest will be a lot more unhappy with our next QB if Dak walks.

I would agree completely about the Seattle game, Dak absolutely put this team on his back that day, but other than that we really don't know. The Cowboys are 5-1 without Dak the last couple of years, its not like this team is total garbage just because he isn't there. There is just as good of an argument that we win the Arizona game as it is we would have lost the Detroit game without Dak. Regardless even if all those games are losses this team would still have had 10 wins and would have been in the playoffs over the 9 win Packers and the Rams.

In the NFL you win the vast majority of games where you allow 20 points or fewer. Last year this team had 11 games where they gave up 20 points or less. Granted complementary football is a very real thing and Dak protecting the ball and contributing to early leads certainly contributed towards these defensive performances, but this is far from a 1 man team, and I wouldn't expect some crazy 6 game swing in the win column just because a different QB was in there unless you're getting to the Ben Dinucci level of below replacement level guys.

Realistically yes, the team is good enough to get to the playoffs with or without dak.

We got a top QB??? When did that happen and who is he?????????? :muttley:

Personally, I don't think any player should be able to hold out while under contract, regardless of performance. A holdout should impose an immediate lifetime ban, IMO. A contract is supposed to be binding, every single player was thrilled to sign it. So you play your best and when the contract expires - you are free to demand whatever you THINK you can get, this team or the next. I don't believe any of these players would trade their "job" for your's or mine.

That being said, my veins are filled with Cowboy blue blood, and I want to see them go 17-0 as much as anyone, lol. The reality is that at some point, an owner out there is going to have to take a stand and break these prima-donna's backs when it comes to this contract-breaking tactics if this sort of thing is going to end. I'm willing to suffer another season, regardless of how bad it could be, if it sets an example to these big babies about being a man and honoring your word.

You couldn’t be more wrong! This is not a playoff team without a real good QB. We were barely a playoff team last year with a QB that came in second for league MVP and led the league in TDs. Currently our roster isn’t as good as last year unless our rookie draft class hits the ground running and some of the duds from last year‘s draft start to play well.

If he walks, you’ll walk! You’ll probably follow him to his next teams fan board so you can continue your tiring agenda…Zzzzzz

Do we really need to reiterate second in league MVP and league leading TDs???? You and me both have no clue how this roster is gonna shape out, I believe they will be better than last year.
