I know it's not related but all too often we see either slow starts or injuries after these holdouts. Aiyuk is just one of many.

Kudos to Ceedee for knocking off his early rust and playing great through injury......he's the one guy out of the big 3 that I don't mind breaking the bank on......he's got heart and still shines against tough competition
Nothing good comes from it. There’s a bad track record of guys holding out. Just pay the game and get him in camp.

His shoulder has been messed up for weeks why now sit him?
Read the article. Recent tests showed it had gotten worse, but it will heal with rest and treatment, no surgery. Further damage could mean surgery. That’s why they are shutting him down. It also doesn’t hurt the tank without tanking scenario to improve our draft status.

Ceedee started the season off for me being a disappointment. Body language wasn’t great, started to show some diva wr traits but man by the end of the season he has completely earned my respect. Played hard and played injured with really incentive to do so.

Guys a beast, happy he’s a cowboy

You’re missing my point.

I had no issue with him playing because I was under the impression it couldn’t get worse. Why on earth would you even risk it? For a playoff berth? It’s stupid.

First….if he played that well the last few weeks with that injury, I’m glad we signed him long term and they also shut him down.

Secondly….even if they lose both games, they aren’t drafting higher than 11, and it doesn’t matter because you’re getting about the same player as you would at like 15 in this draft. Please, please allow that to sink in.

Root to lose all you like, but draft position should not be the reason this year. Doesn’t matter.

Perhaps to prevent further damage to the tissues, not to mention the possibility of irreversible damage. I don't know the nature of the injury, but the fact that they are officially out of the playoff picture probably figures into it as well.

I honestly thought he'd phone it in once it looked like Dallas had little to no shot at the playoffs, but the man kept playing at an elite level.

He leads by example. If every guy had that kind of toughness, they'd be unstoppable
Agreed.

This is the right decision for him and the team, long term....

That said the way he showed out for weeks with a bum shoulder in a lost season endeared him to me forever.

Whatever gets said about Lamb during the remainder of his days in Dallas, you can't accuse this man of not being a warrior and a leader. Cee Dee led by example in 2024.

Great job #88!

Why play him is the better question. Let him rest and be ready for next season. This probably about wraps up McCarthy and Zimmer contract extension. Winning the last few games is good enough for Jerry Jones and they will spin the contract extensions by blaming injuries to its best players. They will hope we all forgot about how trash we looked at the beginning of the season.
This. The sad part is, it works on a select few here.
