That certain someone...
I sort of know what you mean. It is what I referred to in this post about Carla Gugino I made in the Underrated Movies You Recommended last month.
There are lots of different people but I think most everyone sees a certain someone and they say, "Wow." Then they keep watching that certain someone and then ask themselves, "Huh?"
I guess what I am saying is that I already know of one person I would start my list for that particular bracket.

I am modifying post #1 with the following amendment: Celebrities nominated by a member after their initial 32 suggested list will automatically receive 1 point. This will make the evolving list flexible by allowing members to name as many additional celebrities beyond their first 32 suggestions, while not providing any automatic advantage over any other members top 32 listed celebrities.
Conceivably, any additional suggested celebrity receiving one point can jump into the Top 32 rankings if any new participating member's list also lists the same celebrity. Scenario:
Member A names Celebrity A after naming 32 celebrities. Celebrity A receives 1 point.
Member B ranks Celebrity A as #10 on his/her list. A #10 rank value is 23 points. 1 + 23 = 24 combined points.
The above scenario would slot Celebrity A as a #27 tie in the current rankings, while knocking one of the three celebrities tied for #30 out of the top 32. To be honest, I have not thought of a tiebreaking system at this time, so any suggestions would be appreciated.

Right now, we are attempting to create one list to make a 32-celebrity bracket. The bracket is coming together from each member's submitted list, ranked 1 through 32.
Each rank is assigned a point value. Rank 1 is worth 32 points. Rank 2 is worth 31 points. Rank 3 is worth 30 points. Etc. Here is how you have already voted according to your Team Asia list you submitted back in post #9 and post #28, which was your "alternates" post:
You ranked Francine Dee #2. Rank #2 is worth 31 points.
You ranked Rose Chin #20. Rank #20 is worth 13 points.
You added Toni Leigh as an alternate beyond your original 32 suggestions. I am assigning all suggestions from any member that is over their first 32-celebrity list a one-point value.
Alternates are worth 1 point.
All of the suggestions made by thread participants (before I posted the current totals) have only two celebrities listed made by more than one member. Those celebrities are:

Here is how they ended up with their current totals:
Halle Berry - @Runwildboys ranked #2, @BigStar ranked #15. Rank #2 =31 points. Rank #15 = 18 points. 31 +18 = 49 points
Stacey Dash - @Runwildboys ranked #31, @BigStar ranked #13. Rank #31 = 2 points. Rank #13 = 20 pojnts. 2 + 20 = 22 points
I have patterned the point system after sports team Top 25 polling. Coaches submit a list of teams, ranked 1 through 25. Each rank has a point value. All of the teams' point values are added together and tada! A Top 25 poll.
Now comes a question I am afraid to ask.
How many members understood the point system I described in the thread's OP?

Each submission is worth a point value in reverse order of the submitted ranking. If any celebrity is submitted by more than one person, the point values combine. If anyone adds a celebrity after posting his/her list, that celebrity receives one additional point, regardless of whether she's been previously submitted on another list.This is what I was worried about.
