CFP thread

How that wasn’t targeting in the Miami game, I’ll never know. There is zero consistency in how they call that foul.
Just like in the NFL
lets face it there is no such thing as consistency in any officiating anywhere

tulane about as expected
They are a good team just do not belong with the big dogs

I thought Tulane would do better than this; I was figuring two to three TD margin at most.

so glad tulane made it.
i would've carried that doubt with me for a long time wondering what might've happened.

committee handed ole' miss a sugar coated free pass to face georgia.

miami's defense...especially their pass-rushers were impressive.
but i didn't expect a&m to manage only 1 fg...especially playing at home.

It was concern about seeing games like Tulane / Ole Miss that I said I would have rather seen Notre Dame and Texas than Tulane and JMU in the CFP.

There should NEVER be a 41-10 game in a 12-team CFP. That clearly means the CFP committee picked the wrong teams.

As a fan, that just makes me not care about the first round of CFP games.

my picks so far with 1 game left...
sugar bowl....georgia over ole' miss.
cotton bowl...ohio st over miami.
rose bowl...indiana over bama.

miami is gonna need more than 10pts to have a chance vs ohio st.

georgia/ole miss could be a good'n but i think georgia pulls away.

indiana/bama could be a great rose bowl...i'm really intrigued by this match-up.
could be a classic.

well, some games a team simply does not show up. But this game really was never going to end any other way then it did

I was meh about oregon all season long and its doubtful JMU will make them sweat. Though one can hope,,,,

Oregon leads 6-3.

Short FGs not going to cut it for JMU, but nice drive
5:30 left in 1st

JMU all the way down the field again.

Have to get 7 this time vs 3, as they have little chance of stopping the Ducks offense.

Way more ready on offense than Tulane was.

Not only no TD, but missed FG
still 13-3
That's it.
Imo, game already over

JMU has the want to but just not the horses

which should have been obvious to the committee

one stat says it all
Oregon has had only ONE third down

Exactly what I expected to happen ended up happening.

I said all week that it would have been better had the CFP added Notre Dame, BYU, Texas (even Vanderbilt or Utah) would have been better than Tulane and JMU.

It's really hard to understand the CFP awarding slots to teams that they themselves ranked #20 and #24 in their own rankings regardless of the circumstance (such as winning a weak conference).

they were given their marching orders and obeyed them
just did it in a way that looked totally corrupt
