CFP thread

Watching him try to justify JMU is pretty funny.

Look, I get why these schools are included. I understand why it happened this year due to the ACC dropping a turd all over college football having a 5 loss conference champ. But the reality is that at the end of the day, these schools have ZERO chance to win a playoff game. Again, people need to stop trying to bring up March Madness when a small school upsets a power school. Basketball is entirely different than football.

It comes down to the goal here. Is the goal to have the best teams in the country play for a championship? Or is the goal something else?
The ratings came out for the games and the two games everyone knew were turds got terrible ratings.

Having the games on TNT absolutely destroyed any chance of good ratings.

You can’t compare ratings when 2 games are on ESPN AND ABC and the other 2 are on TNT.

and how many of them were going full out giving that last bit?

Dude, give it up. JMU did not belong and everyone knows it
your pathetic attempts to justify it just makes the non existent case for it go into negative numbers
Dude LOL man respectfully as possible on a Christmas Eve stop posting goofy stuff.

Oregon has been beating people badly all year. This game was no different.
Oregon simply rolled them in the first half then the tired defense that was losing TOP 2 to 1 gave up a lot of points in the second half.
That's it, that's what actually happened and people who watched the game know that.
JMU was never winning that game and literally zero people said they would, but no one wants to see your busted school who couldn't beat two mid CFP teams get a shot except your goofy leprechaun brothers.
Win more, cry less.

Yea sure the morons will def latch onto that insane ESPN PR nonsense.

The G5 games were sold out to TNT and then placed head up against NFL games.
The other games had solo slots.
But I'm sure that makes no difference....

And direct NFL game comp. Tulane-Ole Miss or GB vs Chicago for the division title??
I mean these mouth-breathers got to be for real man.
Seling it as being about the G5 is insultring to everyone's intelligence.

BTW, kudos to Notre Dame for scheduling BYU in 26 and 27, home and home.
Seriously, good job there.

That's a quality game with less travel than USC.

Final 8.

Who would you most like to see win it all?
1-8
Gotta be true to the Big 12 since I am a WVU fan.
So I would like to see Texas Tech pew pews win it all.

However I would not be shocked if it turns out to be a rematch of the B1G conference championship with Ohio St getting revenge and the win.

The NFL games the G5 teams were up against that drew 21.34 million and 15.46 million.
Shocked ESPN didn't mention that, shocked I tell ya.

and why were the on that?
because everyone knew they would get terrible ratings

no one cared which seems to be a jump in logic for you
because everyone knew they were not worthy of the playoffs
some mouth breathes here just cannot accept that reality

  1. Texas Tech---have never won it, from Texas, and non P2
  2. Miami--very highly doubtful but who knows. Non P2.
  3. Indiana--have never won it . Great story
  4. Oregon--have never won it. Fun bunch
  5. Ohio St--tired of them but have some fam member die-hards/grads
  6. Ole Miss--have not won it....would be higher but arrogant SEC..lol
  7. Georgia--Like OSU, tired of them but have family that are fans.
  8. Alabama--no thanks

I want Indiana to win it just to watch Michigan and Ohio State heads explode

My dude you have posted about them 686868 times, so you most definitely care.

Your logic and IQ seem pretty pedestrian, but it STILL wouldn't be fair to test you with a Harvard advanced logic test to prove that while declaring my own using an internet web test....

ESPN bought all 4 games and chose the two slots NON up against the NFL to max out ratings for their helmet school ties.
All while on their very channel they had talking heads whining about G5 teams.
Then decided to crow about that working.

And the dumbest fans on earth celebrated it.

Wanting to be the 2nd best team in Indiana is a choice.

But hey I support it. Any non blue blood that wins is a MAJOR win for the sport.

we beat them last year so we certainly were up to face them again but those like you clearly did not want real playoffs

Lol. “Real playoffs”. Haha.

This year was the most expanded “real playoffs” that college football HAS EVER HAD in its history. And it’s still not good enough for you. Lol.

Yeah, unless none of the CFP or BCS before this were "real" playoffs, that comment was...uh... faulty.

Hopefully, they'll find ways to improve it even further.
