One of the worst play calls I've seen this year. You are 6 inches from the end zone with the biggest QB in the game. If Ben just got an erection after the snap, he'd be in the end zone. *** are you doing calling anything but the QB dive?

A good teams get "calls" from the refs. The 90s Cowboys "benefited" from the refs too.

It's a tired rationalization to minimize how good a team really is.

Uhh, I have most of the games from the 1990s on DVD, and we most certainly DID NOT get the calls. In fact, we got screwed just as much then as we do now. Its just that the 90s Cowboys were champions who overcame stuff like that most of the time (couldn't overcome it in the 94 NFCC game vs SF as the non called PI on Deion cost us the game).

Considering how you don't understand simple logic, I see how you would consider it dumb.

First, I used "calls" in quotation marks, which means I'm not using it the way it is literally used.

Second, since you lack understanding, what I'm saying that all good teams appear to benefit from the refs. But that may be more a product of those teams being good than the refs "calling" penalties in their favor.

Whining about the refs is just another way to detract from a team's superiority.

Good news - Pittsburgh offense is pretty lousy. The Ravens can best them.

But yes - Pittsburgh should be the penultimate enemy of every Cowboys fan. I will be rooting for a Eagles/Cardinals victory anyways over the AFC, but against the Steelers I am make a ritual offering of burnt entrails to the football Gods.

The difference is that the Steelers don't appear to benefit from the refs. They don't call holding, they don't call late hits, they don't call unnecessary roughness...it's sick. I wish I could say the same for other teams I hate more like the Commanders, but it's really just Pittsburgh.

I really really hate the NFL rule for pass interference. You can get a 45 yard penalty for a ticky tack call but only 15 yards for only any personal foul penalty that could be more dangerous.
