Jerry will very likely do what he can to convince Dan Quinn to remain with the team but if other teams offer enough, anything can happen. Most of us are surely of a mind to keep him in house and not leave the Cowboys' payroll. Here's hoping Jerry sees fit to make it worth his while to stay.

Just curious.....why do posters say he's not HC material? Coz he blew a Super Bowl lead? Let's not forget, he did get there with a staff of some of the best assistant coaches ( I think 4/5 end up getting NFL HC jobs). In other words, he knows how to attract/develop excellent assistant coaches. I think he will be a good fit for the Commanders or Chargers.

Side note......Harbaugh def returning to the NFL IMO ( Falcons or Raiders ).

Hate to see him go, hopefully we get someone good to replace him and to get our best talent as starters on the field even if we have to change Sam Williams to the LB position
Sam williams might look like Micah but if he's on the field it should be at de with Micah at lb. He's bigger and stronger than Micah and isn't as agile nor does he have experience at lb.

Well, assuming we keep McCarthy, maybe Martindale?

If they both go, then it wouldn’t shock me if Belichik is our next HC and he’ll run the defense.
I think if Quinn leaves we would promote Whitt or Durde. Most likely Whitt who is tje passing game coordinator

Which team do you think will offer him a HC job?

I have read nuggets that they both are planning to take a big swing. The question is which is more appealing to him.
I just can't see it. The Chargers I think will want an offensive mind. Washington will want a bigger name either Harbaugh or Belichick.

I think there are 6-7 candidates ahead of him at the very least:

Harbaugh
Belichick
Macdonald
Morris
Johnson
Vrabel

Maybe if we a lucky, they will interview JJ for being a new owner.

If he goes, I think the Chargers would be one of the best destinations for him because they already have their quarterback, one of the hardest pieces to find. His specialty is fixing defenses, so he'd need a good coordinator to turn that offense over to.
What no Kellen Moore head coaching opportunity with the Chargers?

I understand the eliminated teams have turned the page and have already started preparations for the next season. However, there should be an understood mutual agreement in place with all teams that a gag order is in place to prevent communication between the eliminated teams and the playoff teams. The request for interviews is a distraction to teams still alive.

Chargers seem like a good move for DQ.

The problem with this whole thing is Dan will raid the coaching staff, and that's fine but I don't trust MM to fill these roles after that Nolan hiring.

Jerry has no problem paying him. It'll come down to whether DQ wants another shot at HC, or if he's enjoying his role with the Cowboys. It won't be a money issue.
Truth....
I have my issues with Jerry.
But he has always been willing to spend on coaching and McClay.

Doubt either is interested in Washington
