I think Harbaugh to the Chargers is highly likely.

I also don’t think Washington would go with Quinn.
That is what many think should happen, but the Spanos family is super uber cheap and JH is not coming cheap

If he goes, I think the Chargers would be one of the best destinations for him because they already have their quarterback, one of the hardest pieces to find. His specialty is fixing defenses, so he'd need a good coordinator to turn that offense over to.
Agreed, that looks like a pretty good gig, sans the cap situation there. But they have some players in place. If he wants to become a head coach that destination would make sense.

It's only fair to those coaches still in the playoffs to get to compete for jobs, but I've always hated these announcements when you're heading into the playoffs.

Outside of him leaving which would suck, would be him taking Al Harris to be his new DC…..

Sam williams might look like Micah but if he's on the field it should be at de with Micah at lb. He's bigger and stronger than Micah and isn't as agile nor does he have experience at lb.
In a true 3-4 defense I could see guys like Sam & Tank at SOLB with Micah & Fowler at WOLB. Greg Ellis played SOLB for Wade Phillips.

Ditto here.

the stud piece with the QB is in already with Hebert.

i would wonder if he'd want to keep Kellen as OC.
He could ask Jerry if certain defensive assistants could be allowed to come with him.

and regardless of some of the fan opinion of Quinn as HC of ATL, Quinn's SB trip plays big on his
resume, He'll only fix the defense based on Chargers personnel guys.
That's one of things that managed to handcuff him in ATL.

agreed if we were to switch schemes but not in the current one. neither would be good 4-3 or 4-2-5 lbs.

Jerry has no problem paying him. It'll come down to whether DQ wants another shot at HC, or if he's enjoying his role with the Cowboys. It won't be a money issue.
Jerry will pay him well as a coordinator, but I can't imagine he would pay him the $4-5 million/year a new head coach would make, much less the $8-12 million/year a successful head coach can work up to.

I don't know. It doesn't appear that Moore left on the best terms and Quinn can probably see the difference McCarthy's play-calling is making this year. I do think he'd have some good building blocks there if he gets the right OC. Injuries played a role in LA's struggles this year.

Don’t discount the Commanders. Quinn is a Salisbury University alum, would be a bit of a homecoming for him.

Look anyone in here I didn't read any of this I'll read it when I get back they're afraid to lose Dan Quinn, I'm not...

I appreciate the what the guy brought to this team but it's more the talent than it is the head coach,

if you look at these games you could also blame it on the talent or the head coach but a lot of our losses go back directly to the defense this year... I trust another defensive coordinator can come in and take take this talent and put him in a good position to win games....

Again I'm not downplaying what Dan Quinn's done but people putting him up on a pedestal like he's built some of the best championship defenses of all time really need to look through a different set of glasses those defenses only gave up under 13 points per game OR LESS for the entire year they didn't have those games where they got ran over too easily like in the Buffalo game Arizona game 49er game look at the Seahawks game these are games where the Cowboys defense in the bigger games gave up too many points too many long drives they were too shaky and inconsistent I mean look at the Miami game literally handed the go ahead touchdown with the lead all you had to do is make a stop or two and you didn't this defense isn't what it is being propped up to be in my opinion they have underperformed and underachieved this year... This is what we call a boom or bust defense it's opportunistic its not dominant.

I for sure did not want him as our next head coach so if they make a change at head coach they need to blow it all up and get a whole new staff hire a new head coach let him pick the defensive coordinator we have talent on this team...

If Quinn is smart he'd only consider situations like that one.

If Harbaugh wants back, I think WFT makes a massive play and splash to get him there and all the NFC East focus would be on his team. They have building blocks on offense, and when they go get their QB with additional top picks in each round, who better to decide who that would be than they guy who is kind of NCAA royalty

I just can't see it. The Chargers I think will want an offensive mind. Washington will want a bigger name either Harbaugh or Belichick.

I think there are 6-7 candidates ahead of him at the very least:

Harbaugh
Belichick
Macdonald
Morris
Johnson
Vrabel
LOL.....my bad, I thought you were asking who would make Harbaugh an offer but it was Quinn you were referring to. In that case, the fact THREE teams have already requested interviews ( only 5 openings) tells me he's likely getting an offer. I can see the Commanders or Chargers.

**Chargers can keep KM as OC while Quinn focuses on revamping the D ( that has 3/4 elite players )
**If you are the Commanders, what better way to close the gap than hiring one of the league's best DC who happens to be in the division and has Super Bowl experience? Remember that they fired the DC and traded BOTH of their starting DEs. That alone shows how concerned they are about the defense.

I don't think he will want the job with the Commanders or Panthers. The Commanders traded away their two best pass rushers for chump change. They have no QB so it will be up to Quinn to draft and develop a rookie. The Panthers are just a mess, with a potentially crackpot owner. That sounds like a bad spot. They may want an offensive minded coach anyway.

The Chargers might be the place to go. They have some quality players on both sides of the ball, including a QB. The one issue there is the OC. Does Kellen more stay? Does Quinn want him? It might be the right situation though because they know each other and coached together with Dallas. Quinn could focus on the defense, like he did in Dallas and let Moore focus on the offense. The only question is if Quinn actually want to move and take over the responsibility of a head coach.

highly doubt they go with another defensive minded HC
