I heard it somewhere today..this is a 3rd down league. You get the guy that helps convert for your offense by getting to 3rd and shorts, whether it be a QB or RB, or a Defensive player that can make a sack or pass defensed or INT.

I believe at #4 you go with Elliott, then Ramsey unless you're wowed with a trade offer. I will be happy with either of them..

Because most guys are like BW Webb in those rounds and not Scandrick.

So you are making drafting decisions based on history of how picks have panned out huh?

Well you should really not want the Cowboys to draft a Corner in the first round.

Thanks for agreeing with me.

I don't know whats available in those rounds.. I know that Ramsey or Elliot will be one of the 2 best players available to us and from a value standpoint taking Ramsey is a no brainer for this team.

When you consider that Carr and Claiborne are on 1 year deals and Scandrick is coming off a ACL factored in with Corner prices in free agency vs RB this is really a no brainer.

Ben & Skin just reported that a small group want Ezekiel Elliot over Ramsey and that Garrett and Jerry are in that group.

Garrett and Jerry want Zeke over Ramsey.. This decides it for me even more. Ramsey >Zeke

So you dont take our drafting history into account when you are drafting CB's in the first round ...... only later.
Gotcha
So I guess we will agree to disagree ....... this front office has only had success in drafting offense.

Our D is gonna suck this year no matter who we draft ...... the only prayer we have of doing anything this year is if Tony and the offense has a record setting unstoppable year ....... and the only thing we can draft to help that is Zeke.

Sorry but those are the facts.

Well, I guess there is only Stephen left then. You would think he is in the Ramsey corner.

No i'm completely fine drafting corners later on. I'm fine drafting them anywhere. I'd prefer a pass rush guy over a corner but not when the difference in talent is unbalanced.

I'd like Zeke but I feel better about finding a RB later on that produces at a high level.

It's obvious why Garrett wants Elliott. And Jerry loves shiny toys, hence his infatuation even up until this year, of having Manziel.

It would seem that the more levelheaded ones, which I assume is Stephen and McClay, in the front office are leaning Ramsey.

I think Stephen wins out. Will be interesting if Ramsey and Zeke are both on the board at #4. I see them taking the entire time to make a pick.

I am actually hoping Stephen is working the phones and leaning towards trading the pick if he gets a fair offer.

They better know exactly who they would choose between the 2 right now. That decision should be made.

The only debate they should have before the pick is if a trade offer comes in.

Do you think it was Garrett, or Jerry that let their intentions slip to a radio personality the day of the draft? And did they call Ben? Or Skin?

It's easy to say that now but none of those guys were top 10 picks.

Jamaal Charles, Leveon Bell, MAtt Forte, and many others were drafted later on. That is where the value consistently is for that position.

It's hard to find a corner that produces at a high level later on. RB? Happens almost every year.

Saved me the trouble, thanks.

McFadden was a one-trick pony out of college. He did not have anywhere near the skill set of Elliott.

And that positional thing doesn't make sense. You wouldn't spend a #4 on Deion Sanders, Ndamakong Suh, Tony Gonzalez, Barry Sanders, or Ed Reed?

Or,Joe Montana, or Jim Brown, . . . . Do we go thru the entire HOF? Are you saying Ramsey is HOF talent?

And the best part is that there is still loads of defensive talent on the board where Dallas can most use it.

I have little faith in the brass. Lets see if they dont screw this pick up first.
