Chargers to interview Mike Zimmer

I am surprised to hear that Atlanta would give permission for a coach that they just acquired to leave.

Teams have to grant permission for anyone interviewing for a Head Coaching job. They have no choice.

Jimmy Johnson never, ever coached the Boys to a 14-2 record... in fact, the Boys have never had a 14-2 record in any one season...

I loved Jimmy while he was here coaching us to 2 SBs. But he was no saint. He was putting out feelers for the Jacksonville job behind Jerry's back because it was a known fact that he wanted to be coaching in Florida, preferably Miami. And everyone knows what he did to Shula as a commentator.

This blow-up was never a one way street that the Jerry haters make it out to be with their incessant Goebbel's way of telling a lie long enough hoping it will eventually become believable through brainwashing or forgetfullness.

I'm here to remind them that they won't get away with it.

It would be very interesting though to see how the 2 former DCs do as HC of the other's former team. That's a bit confusing but you know what I mean.

Wow, why on earth has this thread gone on so long? I really couldn't care less about Mike Zimmer, but that it's been at the top of the Zone for so long caught my eye.

So what's the damned deal?

Surely by now you recognize the Five Great Thread Builders of the Zone (in no particular order):

now these people who hate jones - they're citing events from 10+ years ago for their hate. isn't that a little past the 2 years i hated parcells? (not 2-3 years, 2 years and 4 games, tops and it took all 4 games being wasted away before my hate-on was in full bloom, so 2 years and a game).

So it's all about timing. I see. If Parcells stayed on another year, I'm guessing your hate would have also stayed on. And on. And on.

Just a little more dramatic than your "I have my team back again", once after Romo became the starter, then again when BP resigned.

it's not the "hate" i take issue with it's the blindness it causes. VA doesn't even follow common logic in his hate and in my own, i would still try to.

I'm glad you said this. I whole heartedly agree. But wasn't there also the element of blindness in your hate?

for example- You always said BP was not grooming a QB. I remember countless times I asked 'just because you didn't see it, does that mean it isn't being done?'

Is that the kind of blindess you're talking about?

Or how about this famous little diddy for an example(which coincides handily with your VA example) You moaned about BP bringing in his old players.

i understand you're having a good time showing me up and all jack - you seem to get off on that. but let's recognize the differences that are in fact there. if my 2 years set precidence what's their 10 year hatred fest set?

And you seem to get off on bringing your little tag team act in here and blasting people that are doing the same thing you've been doing for the last couple of years. And let's recognize hate is hate, 2 years, 3 years, 10 years, 20 years. Seems you and VA deserve each other.
