Charles Haley tutoring Demarcus Lawrence

Nice. I think Lawrence is gonna be a bit like Greg Ellis. He's not the physical freak that Demarcus Ware was, but I'm hoping he'll get decent sack numbers just by having good technique. We'll see though.

Good. I haven't seen any pass rush moves other than straight bull rush.

I can't see Haley being a good tutor. He has a natural ability which can't be taught. It's like a math genius teaching an IEP student. It doesn't work.

But he can teach him different ways to get to the qb, but you're right about Haley being a natural and that can't be taught.

He helped many others.
He even worked with Ware when he first got here. Ware was glad for his help too.

Having natural ability has nothing to do with being a tutor to help others. You either can teach / coach, or not. Most cases you can, depends in ones patience and delivery method. Rather you were a natural or had to be taught.

Many players welcomed Haley's tutoring, I haven heard anyone said he didn't help them.

Actually, Haley was known as a very cerebral player, more than just athletically gifted. Hopefully he can share his knowledge with Lawrence. But knowing does not mean you can be effective at teaching others to know. However, I think Haley can.

I haven't even seen him blow by people with speed rush. That's why I am concerned. Usually that's the one move that doesn't need to be taught.

Haley was a very smart pass rusher. He used to set up offensive lineman by using an outside move during the game and when the game was on the line he would start outside and counter inside for a sack.

CH was one of the smartest LB/DE of his time. He had natural ability but he had outstanding technique and was a very smart player. He also helped Ware out.

Haley tutored Leon Lett through his time in Dallas, and did wonders for him.
