Charles Tapper Getting Close?

Sorry if I offended you. All-caps can be a bit intimidating. Let's keep this a safe space. I love football discussion. This is not a discussion. They aren't playing this year. Period. Yet, somebody asks the questions every single day. Why not talk about things that are happening and players that are playing?

Is that strange?

Statements like this are strange.

Either you have inside knowledge of their status--in which case it would be good to share to keep people from speculating--or you have the same info we have--in which case this definitive and angry (all caps) statement is unwarranted and, quite honestly, rude.

I don't understand why people can't take discussion and speculation on a football discussion board. Good grief--what are you here for if not to discuss?

This is just my interpretation after reading up on the issue. It appears that some people (especially young people) with this issue are just too active for it to ever heal. Apparently, some people (generally young) can recover just from minimizing the movement of the back for a few months. This generally involves wearing a brace to limit movement.
Thanks. Thats at least encouraging?

Why not talk about the possibility of a player coming back and helping this ball club. Who are you? The GM? Your not the one making the roster moves so why couldn't someone like Tapper come in here and provide what no other DE has with a little pass rush. Peoples opinions is what makes a message board and if you take that away then you wouldn't need the zone.

Yes, it is strange.

First, it's strange to be definitive and certain on something that is not certain. There is a chance one of them comes back this year. It is strange that this uncertainty bothers you to the point that you feel the need to come in here and put the speculation to a stop.

Second, it is strange that you think there's not room on a discussion board to discuss active and injured players. I think there's room. I don't think the Internet will run out of space.

Third, it's strange that you think this isn't discussion, as if uncertainty and speculation weren't present in a discussion of Dak Prescott's performance, for example.

Some people are just bitter and cantankerous. Their life is miserable and misery loves company. Personally, I feel that we can afford to be optimistic regarding Jaylon and Charles. We are 10-1 with a strong possibility of being 11-1 after tomorrow. All smiles over here...

No, there isn't a chance one of them comes back. Broaddus says every day "they are not playing." Archer says every day "they are not playing." What's strange is you have no doubt seen these answers, yet somehow think otherwise. That is very strange.

Not coming back. Nothing to talk about. He's not playing. Not happening. No chance.

Charles Tapper is close...closer to playing in 2017 with each passing day. A wasted pick...

Risk of stating the obvious, it's a position of need, and a player who at least plays that position and who has distinguished himself... and, it's not like one can automatically dismiss 4th round talent at this point. I for one can't bash anyone for hanging on any hint that we might get to see what he can do. I'm right there with 'em.

I'm convinced that had Tapper not had this issue he'd be a productive player on this team.

Way to go out on a limb Risen. :D The question is just HOW productive would he be? Mayowa productive (2 sacks but out of rotation and then inactive recently) or Davis productive (meh, but lots of reps but no sacks/big plays).

As estimated, another week of rehab and with 3 weeks to get reconditioned, Tapper might possibly return in time for game 16 vs. Philly. Evidently, optimism is running rampant in Cowboy Country. Needless to say, it'd undoubtedly be ironic if he ended up being our MVP in the Super Bowl. :)
