Ok it wasn't as bad as I first thought. It was the forearm that knocked off the helmet, not the actual collision. Still, good tough running there.

It has nothing to do with calling out Watkins and everything to do with thinking that a rookie 5th round pick is going to show his full potential in his first year. If he plays great, then yeah, it's obvious he's a keeper, but if he plays subpar, giving up on him after year one and drafting a replacement is beyond idiotic. It's hard to be presumptuous when someone posts the following:

Now, considering this kid will likely come out to the draft next year, this is clearly saying if Watkins doesnt pan out after one year, draft someone better. Pretty cut and dry.

Knee jerk. Got it?

Since when does drafting someone automatically preclude another player from continuing to play or perform his job. Have you ever heard of depth? I believe i also mentioned something about versatility, a trait that many football coaches find benefitial.

I don't recall anyone saying he was better than Watkins. All that wa said was that i'd take him in the draft. Now, if he's going in the first or second round, then forget it, we have more pressing issues. That doesn't mean that at some point in the draft we aren't a good enough team that we can draft the BPA, and if that were the case with Zbikowski, i'd love to have him.

Another game where luck and the refs make it easy for South Bend City College.

The phantom clip probably cost JoPa's team a TD so instead of 13-7 at the half, it's 20-0. Before that was the muffed FG.

ND with its patented "brutal" schedule where they play real teams at home (other than USC) and then factor in the three "tough and brutal" military academies.

Drafting for depth in the first few rounds is stupid when you have glaring issues that need to be addressed in terms of starters, like O-Line and WR.

Drafting strictly for need is stupid.

Tell me this, let's say WatKINS has a so-so season. Nothing great, but not bad at all.

Zbikowski is on the board and EASILY the best player left on the board. Do you take him?

I agree. That is why i said "if it were the first or second round, then forget it."

I'll be the first person throw molotov cocktails at JJ's house if we don't address the OL.

Quit whining. We understand you don't like Notre Dame. Nobody cares. The clearly better team is winning this game, easily. The schedule is the way it is this year. ND goes to Penn St. and Michigan next year, what are you going to cry about then?

So Weis is on his way to winning his fourth game over a team with a winning record?

Awesome, thanks for reinforcing my point

I would think it would be obvious to anyone with at least a small bit of football knowledge.

But you are the person that believes in the 30 yard slant so you obviously have less then "a little bit" of football knowledge.

Obvious, huh?

DeMarcus Ware had 65 tackles for loss in college (That's not counting sacks), and 14.5 tackles for loss last season

But you're right, the man just couldnt stop a runningback top save his mother's life

First round.

Eeeesh. If we take him that early, he better play QB too. Lets also hope that we have better luck with boxers than we do with baseball players.

Not when you need a new starter at 4 O-Line positions

No, because 1: So-so would be far better than anything we've had at FS since Woody left and 2: Again, we have too many needs on offense. We are getting old on that side of the ball, especially at WR and O-Line.

Winning? This is a blowout. Not too shabby for taking over a program that was sucking for air because their previous coach was horrible. I'll take these days over the Davie and Willingham days any year.

If you say so, Chico.

My dad was born and raised in South Bend. He grew up a Fighting Irish fan, and so did I.

Not that I need to explain myself to a lowly POS like you.

First of all, I don't give a crap what he did in college. We're talking about how he's done as an OLB in the NFL, not at DE as some rinky dink college.

Dear God, you're out of your mind

Yes, I'm out of my mind cuz I'd want us to draft the best player (by far) on the board.
