Chaz Green: “I Feel Like I Let The Team Down” With Struggles vs. Clayborn

The clapping intensified.
That's all Garrett could do, maybe next time it'll work.

Like Romo said, he's a motivator not a scheme guy.

This whole he's not an X's and O's guy, just a motivator and RKG moron is something I've been saying since the day he was hired. Friggin MADDENING. Who the frig else "learns on the job" at this level. Freaking joke. He's damn near worthless as far as I'm concerned.

He should be cut this morning, he can't stay healthy, and when given a opportunity he plays like that...sheesh...

Well, at least Chaz is good at assessing his play. Because he damn sure did let the whole team down.

Not just the team but this game could have killed our season. But regardless of how Green played I'm more disappointed at the coaching staff for not benching him or providing help.

Here's the deal...I grew up playing every dang organized sport that there is. From when I was 6 years old until my knee quit on me during Fall basketball practice in my Sophomore year. No matter the age, the sport or the coach, if a 'kid' was struggling, he was replaced until he got his head back in the game. If that wouldn't happen during the current game, he enjoyed watching the rest of us playing from the sideline. Unfortunately for him, the next day @ practice wouldn't be a fun 'experience'. Every dang coach that I ever had, from pee-wee football to division 1 basketball, knew enough to either bench the kid that was struggling or adapted on the fly to help the weakest link. I can remember being on some very good teams and I can also remember everyone of those teams having a kid that constantly struggled, had a bad game or two or who was just wasn't cut out to play the sport. In the end, my coaches all knew how to 'coach'. Unfortunately, at the highest level possible, we're dealing with a coach who has no clue what it takes to 'coach' and it's down right sickening. Rant over.

Yesterday was a complete embarrassment. I don't see how anyone can defend what I and everyone else saw. At any level especially in pro ball. Incompetence on full display.

Yesterday had to be the worst performance I have ever seen from a player, but I can't put it all on him. Ultimately it's the coaches that put him in and continued to have him play.

It's the coaches job to evaluate talent, make adjustments mid game etc. Garrett failed miserably at at least not recognizing what my 10 year old niece knew, Green needed help from the get go.

Holly for head coach!
Coaches gives player an opportunity to grow. Yes, you are correct. the coach should have made the adjustment, but Green should have been smart enough to begged for help and drop his ego- simple as that.

They really made a crucial error by even counting on a rarely available player to be the swing tackle.

The sad thing we will have to spend more resources next offseason to shore up the OT depth when we really could use help elsewhere.
