To be fair CL, Tom Brady had almost the same supporting cast around him, and he doesn't get the overrated tag. Of course there's going to be a little hesitancy to anoint him since he just started his first season, but he did get better as you said, and that's really all you can ask of a young QB getting his first starts.Chocolate Lab;2659119 said:I just don't get the Cassel hype. I know he got better later in the year, but at first he was absolutely awful. IMO he only won because he had a great team around him -- a very good defense, one of the best O-lines, and probably the best coach in football. With even an average team, I think he'll be awful.
I think he's Scott Mitchell II.
But as always, maybe I'm wrong.
Week 16 Miami at KC with KC's record at 2-12 and nothing to play for. The last home game of the year. Attendance for that game was 73,689. The lowest attended game of the year was week 12 when they hosted Buffalo and 73,584 were there.theebs;2659095 said:I wonder if more than 20000 chiefs fans will show up to games now..
We all know how great those chiefs fans are, loyal and the standard bearer!

Yes we should. But then again we should have killed the Rams last year.dbair1967;2659117 said:no, its just that it doesnt matter

Ever watch the games? I do because they are on TV every week up here. I'll admit that many go but far more than 20,000 do. Very loyal fans follow that team.dbair1967;2659128 said:those are paid numbers, not the actual number of people in the stands...there's a difference

They had more talent IMO in 2007 than they did in 2008. And a seasoned Brady had a career year, yes. But he was just that... seasoned. Cassell gets thrown in like Romo, he was basically a rookie, and had a very good year. He progressed very well.... an 89 QB rtg for the year, but 6 of his last 8 games were over 100.Chocolate Lab;2659125 said:
But Tom Brady got far better results with the same team. He's not overrated at all.
Tom Brady is one of the best QBs I've ever seen. Cassel is a JAG.
Seems like maybe Belichick agrees with me, too. He'll pick up some journeyman off the scrap heap to replace Cassel and be happy with his new draft picks.
