Is was a stupid marriage, he was never a scheme fit. Chip did all this whining about wanting a North/South runner, but his scheme puts players in a position to get to the edge much easier than to go up the gut. It makes absolutely no sense. Even back to his Oregon days, he has always had more success with the speed guys who could/would hit the edge.

It was trying to force a square peg into a round hole when he already had a guy tailor made for his scheme, Sproles, signed and sitting on the bench.

Relax dude. It was a response to the article that seemed to insinuate the offense looked better without Murray getting a lot of carries. The offense really didnt.

I'm calm brah. DM is a shell of his former self. Screw Philthy!!!!

I just never understood that signing by the Eagles, Murray just didn't fit Chips offensive scheme

It still makes me wonder, very seriously, whether they really wanted him or they just didn't want Dallas to have him.

I really think Chip took the approach of a college team, rather than a pro team, and decided he just didn't want Dallas to have him, rather he fit what they did in Philly or not.

They probably release him after the 2016 season.

Guess this shows that Murray is a very good running back in the right system.

His style of running definitely does not fit chips offense.

I'm glad.

Getty ImagesWe’ve been pointing out all season that the Eagles’ ground game runs more effectively when someone other than DeMarco Murray is getting the ball, and on Sunday Chip Kelly finally figured that out.
Murray, the running back who got a five-year, $40 million contract this offseason, was on the field for a season-low 14 offensive snaps on Sunday. Murray finished the game third on the Eagles in rushing, with just 24 yards. Darren Sproles led the team with 66 yards, while Kenjon Barner had 39 yards.
Considering that the Eagles had their best win of the season while Murray spent most of the game on the bench, it’s hard to imagine this was just a one-time thing. And when Ryan Mathews returns from a concussion, Murray should get even less playing time.
Overall this season, Murray has 163 carries for 569 yards, a 3.5-yard average, and four rushing touchdowns. Mathews, Sproles and Barner have combined for 160 carries for 767 yards, a 4.8-yard average, and six rushing touchdowns. Murray just isn’t getting the job done. After Sunday’s game, Murray seemed resigned to the fact that he’s been buried on the depth chart.

most impressive win was because of a punt return for TD, fumble return for a TD and a 100 yard int return for a TD. offense only scored 14 points. so lets not get ahead of ourselves here. how often will the above happen? has it every happened before?

Demarco Murray has been demoted by the Chip Kelly and played a season low 14 snaps against the patriots. So my question is, if the eagles cut him would you bring him back?

I would offer him the same contract we offered last year, less what he would've gotten into thousand 15. I would also reduce the signing bonus overall. If he excepts that, then absolutely. Please forgive any spelling mistakes as I'm dictating this while I drive.

He's guaranteed 7 million in 2016. They aren't releasing him until after that season and then only have to eat 2 million for 2017.

Exactly right. He's not going anywhere for at least the next year.

I hope the Iggles finish 8-8, only to miss the playoffs and go into the off-season with a bunch of false hope for the future. Then, once Kap arrives, and after the prodigal son dust settles, we will see them implode once again as their fans drown their sorrows and look angrily at Chip Kelly through the bottoms of empty mugs! For their ever longing chance at glory and immortal-ness among the football Gods will leave them as stricken down peasants and everlasting wind-suckers to the Cowboys of Dallas!!

The eagles wont cut him , but they may try to trade him.
Many coaches would see he doesnt fit in philly, so might take up his contract.
Philly might have to give up a draft pick or 2 to unload murray and the contract.

So for example if dallas took him back and his current contract, they might also get 2 draft picks, like 3rd and 7th.
or it could be a player trade like what seattle and NO did with graham.

One thing I have noticed, is a lot of times murray comes out of backfield and is wide open, and bradford does not throw to him.
but on other plays where a guy is on murray he then throws to him.

IN NE game it happened and murray was wide open, and bradford saw him but threw to a guy who was covered tightly, and it was inc.

I dont get that at all, and bradford is his friend and college team mate who talked him into coming there.

That would be like tony seeing witten wide open, and then throwing to a guy who was covered tightly, which tony would always throw to witten.

I doubt Dallas would take murray back, but other teams might want him.

It is also possible that murray could take a pay cut to get out of philly , as long as it wasnt too much, and
like if dallas took him back, they could pay him less, but offer incentives based on performance , so that if he did good, he could make
same or more $
I think he will want out of philly after this season, so he might be willing to make adjustments to his contract.
I dont see him sitting on the bench and being paid 8 mil to warm the bench. something has to happen.
