I'm actually surprised they pulled the trigger and decided to hire him after one bad year. He had two 10 win seasons under his belt, that should have bought him another year.

The Eagles should have just stripped him of his personnel powers.

Some organizations recognize a mistake and move to correct it

Others keep wishing on a star

Reports in Philly say that Lurie had decided to make some changes in the org structure again and wanted to take total player personnel power away from Chip. He discussed this with Chip, who balked, so Lurie eventually sent him packing.

I've got bad news for you
The Eagles have a talented roster and a real HC/OC will make Bradford into a real QB
I would much rather Chip stayed

IMO the Eagles just got better and we are stuck in neutral with Darth Vader and his off spring

Their roster isn't that talented. They need a major upgrade to the OL. They need secondary help again. WR is weak. They now have too much money locked up in TBs.

I see you giving me a panic likealanche after this news.

Relax, Amy. I'm no Jeffrey Lurie. I honor my commitments. You're a special broad. No one will ever split up you, me and my parents.

Fitting that you turned this Philly thread into Silver Linings Playbook.

Wait, isn't this the coach who signed Murray to be his lead dog and kept him on the bench, because his scheme was most important?

This is bad news. Chip Kelly got rid of those great skill position players who were very scary on game day, and spent a fortune to sign a running back who didn't fit his offense -- an offense that could get a three and out before the defensive players had a chance to grab a drink of Gatorade. He will be truly missed by all of the Cowboys, Giants, and Commanders fans.
