I think Chip put the final nail in his coffin during that press conference the other day. He basically said the personnel moves weren't his fault and he wasn't the GM, when everyone knew he was the puppet master of all the moves. Lurie is a very patient owner, so for him to get rid of Kelly like this shows he had no hope.

Yep. Remember after the preseason where they scored like 40 per game?? Slob fest. Media guys are shallow as hell!

Yeah all those media guys who claim that fans are stupid for reading too much into preseason games were using the Eagles preseason as a reason they would get to the Super Bowl.

He has one bad year and he gets fired? 26-21 as head coach isn't too bad is it?

What's it going to be then, eh?

This is actually a bad thing for us. I was hoping he would stay there forever. He thought replacing Shady with Demarco was a upgrade, and bringing in Bradford was a good idea.

Funny thing is I read today that Kelly said they would do whatever they needed to do to bring Bradford back.

A few hours later, he gets canned.

No, it isn't.

But it is clear, his style is too abrasive for today's NFL athlete.

In a way, this is a statement that tells me the NFL hates change agents.

Kelly, like him or not, was different.

That lasted one year.

Wouldn't shock me to see the Eagles hire some lifer to just break the funk they think they have.

So Murray goes over his head coach and GM's head and tells the owner he doesn't believe in the head coach.

Then conveniently fumbles the season away in the Commanders game on one of his few carries.

I'm calling shenanigans.

Kelly broke the code. He refused to kiss butt and that does not fly well.

Again, not defending him. Just calling it as I see it.

Chip bit off more than he could chew taking on too much power too soon. I think he could still be successful in the league. This wasn't a Spurrier level failure.

That said, have some serious caution with how many players hate him. Never a good sign. Has a lot to learn If he is ever to make round 2 turn out better. And a tougher hill to climb if he ends up with a team like the Titans.

Its not that bad. But 26-21 with 1 playoff win in 3 years can quickly become 45-40 with 1 playoff win in 5 years. wouldn't be surprised if Lurie & Co. looked to the Cowboys as an example of what they didnt want to become.

Alot of media "experts" were saying Murray was a perfect fit for Philly because he was a one-cut RB and that McCoy danced around too much and ran east to west. Then those same experts started saying that Murray was a terrible fit because of his running style and McCoy was better suited for the team. LOL.

Even though the Cowboys missed the playoffs, the highlights of this NFL season to me was

1. Demarco Murray failing in philly
2. Chip being fired
