The fact they have no trophies is probably a big factor in why they did what they did. Lurie wants a trophy, realized Kelly couldn't get it done, and quickly pinched him after 3 seasons as coach, 1 season as the GM.

We can laugh all we want at them, because it is funny in one sense, but their owner saw a problem, a mistake he made and he is trying to fix it. At what point does our owner realize he might have made a mistake with Garrett? After he misses the playoffs another season or two?

Rather be a has been than a never was. Chip Kelly demanded to have decision making power. This inevitably got him in trouble as he traded away key pieces and replaced them with players that didn't fit his scheme. Lets not turn this into another "I hate Garrett thread" because there is a difference between why both have had losing seasons this year.
