Chip Kelly fired

Rather be a has been than a never was. Chip Kelly demanded to have decision making power. This inevitably got him in trouble as he traded away key pieces and replaced them with players that didn't fit his scheme. Lets not turn this into another "I hate Garrett thread" because there is a difference between why both have had losing seasons this year.

Both are losers nevertheless.

It's not so much about being an "I hate Garrett" thread as much as it's an example of a rival organization that had three years of results and acted upon it while the Cowboys have 5 years of average results and apparently think it's the right course.

The constant slobbering over Kelly was nauseating. Jon Gruden might need to use all his PTO to get over this. Deion, too, although he already did over Dez.

Chip seems to have forced his way out to get to Mariotta. Lurie gave him an option to give up the GM duties, and he declined. Bet he doesn't care about that so much in Tennessee.

Its still twisting news from another team in order to push an agenda and one's biased views.

[quote="coach steele, post: 6497056, member: 26800" Can't we enjoy a "Philly fired coach thread" without having to keep with the agenda of Garrett bashing.

I dont think so.

Besides, it makes the thread even more enjoyable. :D[/quote]

Thats fine. I guess we can both get kicked off the site after mods have warned several times.:muttley:

This difference is there is no mutiny here.

Dude or mam. You are not an insider. You have no idea what the problems are. You have speculation and continue to push a tired narrative.

Dont need to be an insider to see what the results are. Dont care all that much about identifying problems as much as I do about eliminating them.

Results are for the simple minded. Explanation is multi-factorial and requires someone who can understand that there are many reasons why an outcome is what it is. With all due respect.

Just saw that.

Surprising. I wonder if he bolted or Lurie grew a set.

'Surprising'? Maybe the fact that he did it one game before the end of the season. Other than that, I've been saying for about 9 months he'd be canned. Guy imploded ever since Lurie handed him the key to the castle. Supposedly the boss called him in and told him he was being neutered and the Chipster balked. SO....he is history. Back to CFB for you Chippy. Fun while it lasted.

I don't know why people here are happy. Philly could end up better if they hire the right guy.
