Eagles fans just had their Christmas wish fullfilled. He was an awful coach for the NFL. I'm sure going to miss him. I guess Lurie was too dumb to understand Kelly's genius.

I'm bummed. I was hoping the Eagles would beat the Skins and win our pathetic division because even though they'd get blown out in the playoffs I thought getting into the post season would earn Chip another season. I was looking forward to another season of Chip's brilliance. I figured if they kept him around another season he might just dig enough of a hole that they'd never get out of it - at least not in my lifetime.

There was something weird going on in Philly from day 1 this year....to many odd calls....to many outlandish player issues to think he really cared to win. Make no bones about it, Chip Kelley wrecked the Eagles to get fired and go back to College.....

Not shocked at all.....don't think his heart was ever into coaching in the NFL.... He left College cause Philly through crazy money at him and the NCAA was gonna levy fines on him and Oregon.... Now he is free to go back to College

Come on Texas Longhorns......step up and get real coach..

I admire Lurie's conviction here. 12 months ago he basically fired his friend, gave him a meaningless front office job and gave Chip full control of the football operations. 12 months later he's out.

This man clearly has a vision for his football team.

He did not fire him. He redirected. Yeah, that is it.

They had a perfectly good coach in Reid, who knew his place.

Oh well. Suffer.
