This will severely reduce the chance of the 49ers moving up to #3 in the draft past the Cowboys to draft a QB. This is good news for us.

Yeah, there's a report that Chip was supposedly planning on trying to trade for Kaepernick had he remained in Philly.

He's got his QB. As laughable as that will turn out to be.

I never sid they had to keep him. As I said, they can keep him or have the pick for QB. Listen, that weasel Kelly talked his way into a coach/GM job in Philly where he gutted a roster and threw away talent. It wouldn't surprise me with the 49ers horrible front office if he jedi mind tricked them into thinking they need Kaep in order to compete. He is desperate for QBs for that system.

I thought that. I like their OL although I haven't looked at it lately. Things change so much so quickly now.

Not sure they can get a QB without moving up to 3. Cleveland will take Goff IMO. My guess is SD will take a QB but they might trade it. TN may trade down but it will cost someone.

If I were Chip I'd draft someone like Watson out of Clemson and let them learn behind Kap who I think can run his O very well.

I'm not a huge fan of Chip but he's capable of winning with that O with the right people. His GM prowess underwhelmed me this last year.

Kaep is done in sf. The players hate him. The team benched him not because of injury but because his teammates didn't trust him. That and 18mil a yr isn't chump change. The guy had little guaranteed but if they restructure that gets put down as a sh type of money. He's done in sf, been done

Nope, Coughlin took himself out of contention for the philly job...said it wasn't a good fit.

not likely, the cost to move up from 7 to 1, is a lot and CLE is likely to take Goff. you could argue they will move up for Lynch, but even then I think that is a long shot

Coughlin wanted to buy the groceries not just cook them. Roseman and Lurie said no.

I think it remains to be seen whether Chip's offense can work in the NFL. Different personnel, so the SF offense will be a little different than the Philly offense, but DC's still look at film and Chip's defense will still live on the field.
