Now in fairness, I don't think the Eagles owner was wrong for firing Chip.

But man, talk about botching a search.

I think they end up settling for Doug Pederson and then lie and say that he was their man all along.

I think he will be better off if he's not involved in choosing the personnel and deciding who comes and goes.

Definitely and now he has his running QB. But I still think he's going to have to adjust his offense to have success in the NFL and, probably even more importantly, learn how to deal with human beings. The reports are scary. This guy has no social skills whatsoever.

The thing is my first inclination is to laugh at the hire, but do I really know he won't be any good? I do not. I certainly wouldn't want to be the one to give him his shot but I can't say the guy won't succeed.

We shall see. He was a complete dork as a backup QB and very hated in Philly during that time. So I'll enjoy their reaction to the hire. It'll go over like a shart.

BTW, a lot of the Eagles fan base spent the last half of this season campaigning for Kaepernick in the offseason. Get Chip his running QB.

None of us can say for sure, but as a Fowboys fan, I wouldn't be quaking in my boots saying "Oh no! The Eagles went and got Doug Pederson as their new head coach!"

I see it as remorse over firing Andy Reid in the first place and seeing him turn Kansas City around while Kelly failed. Pederson has always been Reid's guy and turning to him shows regret to me.

People, in Philly at least, thought he was always single. Then it was discovered he used to be married. Nobody knew. What happened to his wife? Nobody knows. He doesn't talk about it. We might find out on Investigation Discovery some day.

He gives me a John Wayne Gacy sort of vibe. I wouldn't be surprised if his players started disappearing. Especially in San Francisco.
