Imitating does not have a parody element involved in it. Like if a QB where to wear black high tops in honor of Johnny Unitas, that is 'imitating' and that is a very sincere form of flattery.
Romo wanting to be like Tom Brady and hang back in the pocket longer is a form of 'imitation' and something that Brady should be flattered by. Speaking of which, if somebody in the league made a video like that, but instead impersonating Brady and Welker, you can be rest assured that Brady and Welker would take that as an insult and let be known as such and would be chomping at the bit to get some payback and shove it down their throats.
Most teams use this stuff as bulletin board material, but I get the feeling we'll just say 'oh, it was harmless little fun.'
