Chris Johnson Support Thread

I wanna see how you come to that conclusion

describe, don't just say you watch him

I agree w/ the rest though
Rice has exceptional balance. You absolutely have to wrap him up to bring him down. Just doing the "Roy Willy" bouncing into him won't bring him down.

Watch here at 1:00.

Or here at 2:05, 2:15, and 3:15. His balance turns a 3-5 yard pickup into a 20+ yard play. Also check out the leg drive at 2:30 and 2:35. This guy is going to be a stud for a long, long time in the NFL.

you should try to use words such as lower center of gravity, lower pad-level, and leg drive, which you did, when trying to make an argument about who has better balance

you completed 30% of the requirement, and still didn't compare the 2, good job

Except a guy with a higher center of gravity that runs upright could have better balance.

Right now a few of our current positions of needs are RB, KR, PR and a slot WR. Why not draft a guy who can do all of this. Chris Johnson was a WR that turn into a RB so we know he can catch and be a slot guy, he is an electric PR/KR, he would spell our current back in Barber, and he would give Garrett yet another weapon in this potent offense. I find some more videos for you guys to watch:

That was the best run I've seen this guy make. He showed he could make a guy miss, and ran with some power.

I've admitted I haven't seen him play....

Even though the run was nice....I'm still not convinced. I've done some checking on him. He's had nagging injuries consistently...even back through HS. And this was the first year he averaged over 4 yards a carry.

This is a player I'm going to have to have to do more research on.

I'd still rather have Ray Rice if he's available.

I don't like any RB from Oregon since that last dude came out and was a bigger bust than when..... :insert random comment: lol

The last RB from Oregon was a bust? How good was the last RB from ECU in the NFL?

No, I don't think there has been an ECU RB in the NFL, but that was the point of my question. How can you knock one player for going to a school whose last RB was a bust in the NFL, when the other program (ECU) has never even been able to get a RB into the NFL period.

RB from Oregon in the NFL have been a bust
ECU when can't judge since we haven't seen it yet

they RB from oregon come from the same system for one to bust and not expect the same thing of another is crazy unless theres a huge difference in talent and i don't think thats the case with Stewart

Ok, back in 2002 an ECU RB by the name of Leonard Henry was drafted. He was in the league for 4 years and had 141 rushing yards. So the last RB froam ECU wasn't even an average player, we can expect the same thing out of Chris Johnson with your logic right?

Onterrio Smith was a 4th round pick, Stewart is projected as a first rounder, how is there not a large difference in talent?

I don't know if it has been mentioned yet, but Chris Johnson has been diagnosed with a neck condition that will seriously affect his stock.

I knew he had offseason neck surgery before the 07 season. what does he have?
